//Lindsay POV//

Finally, after hours of driving, I turned down a very familiar street. I passed my old house and I couldn't help but slow down to examine it. The new owners had changed the color of the shutters and planted a new tree which was currently burdened with a new layer of snow. But the door was the same color my mum had painted it the summer I was five. I felt a stabbing pain in my heart.

My Mum.

I impatiently brushed the tears from my eyes and continued driving to Harry's house. It didn't take long. In a couple minutes I was standing on their porch with my polka-dotted duffel bag and my guitar, waiting for someone to answer the door. As a cold blast of icy wind hit me I pulled my coat tighter. Not a moment too soon the door opened and I hurried in. Shutting the door, Anne pulled me into a warm and comforting hug. I had missed her so much. In many ways she was the only mum I had left.

"It's so good to see you," Anne welcomed me. "It has definitely been too long. Look how much you've changed."

"It's good to see you too," I replied, removing my coat.

"Come to the kitchen dear, I have your favorite hot chocolate ready."

I smiled. That's Anne for you.

"Okay. Thank you so much." I said following her to the kitchen

"It's nothing really. Oh I forgot to ask you earlier, do you want to share Gemma's room, or stay in Harry's."

"I'll stay in Haz's room. I don't want to crowd her."

"Alright dear. I'm so glad you could come. I'm so happy Gemma has been able to visit, but I’m sad Harry couldn't come." She said passing me a cup of hot chocolate.

"Ya," I replied, trying to not be awkward. I couldn't exactly agree with her about Harry not coming, but I was thrilled to see Gemma.

I sipped some of the hot chocolate. The rich, creamy liquid warmed and comforted me. Being here reminded me of being a kid, which makes sense considering I used to spend as much time here as I did at home. I smiled thinking back on all memories.

"Wow, Lindsay," Anne said looking me over.

"What. I asked self-consciously.

"You look just like your mother," she said tears gathering in her eyes. I stood up and gave her a hug.

"I miss her too," I choked out.

Taking a deep breath, she released me and started making dinner. From then on we just caught up with each other. Later, Gemma joined us and it was almost just like old times. We stayed up late talking, making the most of the time we had. I had to drive back to London the day after Christmas, so I only had two more days.

Finally, we said goodnight and I went up to Harry's room. Overall it had been a pleasant evening. It had been easier than usual to ignore Harry's texts. I shut the door behind me and threw my duffel bag in the corner, and set my guitar down by the desk. I hadn't been here since the day I moved. I wonder when the last time Harry had been here was.

Too lazy to unpack, I opened some of Harry's drawers and yanked out a large sweatshirt and a pair of shorts. His clothes had always been huge on me, but they were so comfortable. I quickly brushed my teeth, threw my hair up in a messy bun, and jumped into bed. I nestled into the warm covers and breathed deeply. Everything smelled like Harry. I slowly drifted off to sleep, happy to be back 'home.'

I was walking through the hall at school, looking for something. I couldn't find it and my search became more desperate. I frantically went from room to room, but found nothing. I opened another door, and I was surprised to see James. He was looking out of the window, but when he heard me he turned around smiled. I stared warily at him and stood still. He walked over to me and said something I couldn't understand. Confused, I smiled up at him. Next thing I knew he pulled me up and into him and kissed me passionately. I froze, but then I was kissing him back. Someone was shouting my name, but I ignored them and continued kissing James pulling him even closer.
