"Do you know where Dark is?" you signed to your friend.  She shrugged and shook her head.  You sighed and looked around the almost empty cafeteria.  There were only some freshmen in the corner playing some game or other together.  You looked back down to your phone and saw that none of your texts or calls had been answered, nor seen.  Sighing, you pocketed your device to head to class.

"Hey, mute!" a 'friendly' face called.  You rolled your eyes and turned around to greet Anti, but he had pushed you up to the locker, looking irate.  His eyes were slightly puffy and bloodshot. "WHERE IS HE?!"

"Dark?  I don't know where he is, either!" you tried to signal to him, but since he didn't know, he just yelled in fury and threw you to the ground, seething.  He looked genuinely angry, not just the annoyed that you saw whenever he made fun of you.  There was a sudden ripple of fear that made your hands shake, but you forced yourself to calm down.  You were on school grounds, he wouldn't dare lay a hand on you.  When you were walking home, maybe, but certainly not now.

Scoffing, he turned his back on you. "I always thought you were some sort of freak.  But now I know who you actually are.  And when I get answers from your pathetic kind, I'll slit your throat myself.  You know who I am, don't you?  You've always known.  Dark was just too weak to see it." He strode away, leaving you confused and, quite frankly, terrified of the man.

There was no possible way you could go back to class after witnessing that.  So you told the office you weren't feeling so well, and they let you go with a kind smile, after making sure you didn't have any tests today.  With a sigh of relief and a quick glance behind you, you hurried to a busy intersection, just so you knew Anti wouldn't try anything.

After half an hour, you managed to find yourself in an average coffee shop, filled with enough people where you felt comfortable enough to stay, at least until your beverage ran out.  So you bought a small drink by writing it down on a piece of paper and found a seat by the corner, so you could keep an eye on the door.  Sure enough....

"Medium black coffee, please," Anti grunted to the cashier, looking around for you.  You ducked your head to the table as quickly and quietly as possible, wondering exactly Anti was hiding from you.  To your imminent dread, Anti took a spot right by the door.  You could no longer escape without catching his eye.  On the plus side, however, he hadn't spotted you yet, giving you a few more minutes to think before his eyes landed on your jacket, which you had put on in hopes of disguising yourself for a while.

Taking a sip of your drink so as to not make yourself look too suspicious, you pondered on the words Anti spoke to you.  He had said that he knew what you really were.  What was that supposed to mean?  And our kind?

Shaking your head, you closed your eyes and took a deep breath to stabilize yourself.  You knew him.  He was that psycho bully that always screwed with you in class.  He wouldn't actually do anything.  He couldn't.  He was just a normal person, with a bit of an anger problem.  That was all it was, so there was nothing you needed to be afraid of... right?

But deep inside, you couldn't shake the feeling of pure dread, terror coursing through your veins.  There was something you didn't know about Anti, something Dark never told you.  Now, you were going to suffer the consequences of your ignorance.

There was no way you could stay here forever.  Anti had to leave at some point.  The shop was getting busier, maybe you could sneak your way out with a large group when they left.  It could work, there was a large table standing up now, throwing their empty cups and wrappers away after finishing a meeting or some sort.
