four.

jungkook and taehyung were sitting at the low dock. taehyung was calling out for the mermaids, but jungkook kept on telling him that he was going to scare them away.

"no no no no, you're going to scare them! they'll probably think it's a sea monster. you have to sing."

taehyung nodded. "then what should we sing?"

jungkook thought for a while. "yoongi hyung was producing a song the other day.."

"so far away...

"the mermaids should be coming." jungkook flashed a bunny smile. taehyung was so lost in his singing that he almost forgot the other purpose of coming here today.

"jungkook-ah, i have something to tell you"

"yes, hyung?"

"i-i really like you. your singing is beautiful, you have the looks, you have o-one of the nicest personalities, that is, if you aren't a playboy or a jerk.. i.. love you.."

jungkook was just shocked at the sudden confession. he didn't know what to do or what to say. he just stayed silent and looked at taehyung. taehyung shuffled nervously, looked at the ground and continued,

"i'm sorry... we've been friends for so long, i don't want to end it. but if you really want to, it's fine, beca-"

taehyung was cut off by jungkook's lips on his. the kiss was long, but sweet. 

but they were cut of by some splashing.

"whoa, jungkookie, why did you put your mouth on his? do humans do that often?"

jimin was watching them, with jin and hoseok in the back. the two humans almost screamed and taehyung jumped a meter backwards. jungkook was panicking. what was he supposed to say?

once jungkook stopped panicking, he spoke up. "i-i-it's called a kiss, a-and you do it if you really love someone. and yes, h-humans do this a lot." he was still very embarrassed. "i'm with taehyung now" taehyung blushed by his words, and moved closer to jungkook.

suddenly, jimin jumped onto the deck (keep in mind, it's a very low deck) and pounced on top of jungkook. "i really love you!" his tail almost sliced taehyung's neck apart. jimin suddenly connected their lips and started kissing hungrily. jungkook was helpless, as he was being squished by a 66kg mermaid. taehyung on the other hand was trying to push jimin off, but he had his arms wrapped around jungkook's waist, holding it tight.

after what seemed like an eternity, taehyung finally pushed jimin off and back into the water. jungkook was panting, because jimin might have kissed the life out of him. "he didn't hurt you, did he?" taehyung took off both their shirts to dry them, so both their toned and tan skin were on display. it was eye candy for the three mermaids (and to armys). 

"did i do it right?" jimin flashed an eye smile, getting the attention of both jungkook and taehyung. "yah, you can't just kiss my boyfriend out of the blue like that!" taehyung's voice was firm, but soft at the same time. 

"yahhh can i have a kiss too?" hoseok made a kissy-face. "jungkook backed off from the dock and onto the sand. "no no no, humans only kiss when we've known each other for a long time, and we are deeply in love!" 

hoseok made a pout and started tugging on taehyung's legs. "what does it feel like to have legs?"

jungkook didn't know how to explain that to a mermaid. "well, we can't really tell you that, but we can show you what they do, other than running, walking and sitting!" jungkook whispered something to taehyung, put his shirt on and got up.

(pretend the person dancing is jungkook and taehyung is singing)

"teach me, teach me!!!" jimin wanted to dance like them, and he also wanted human legs.

"sorry little one, you need legs to do this, unless you can dance underwater with your tails" taehyung gave another boxy grin. "that would look very weird though haha.."

jungkook suddenly remembered. "oh, i forgot to introduce you! the silver haired one with the blue tail is jimin." jimin flashed another adorable eye smile. "the orange haired one with the green tail is hoseok." hoseok did some aegyo noises and made a cute pout. "the pink haired one with the reddish tail is jin" jin smiled and nodded.

"i finally know some mermaids!" taehyung grinned at jungkook. "oh yeah, i forgot something." taehyung dug into his pockets and pulled out the necklace. "ah, you found it!" jimin swam over to the shore to retrieve it. "thank youuu" jimin was the definition of cute. well, for now...

jungkook checked his phone, which somehow miraculously survived being in the water for an hour, and then being trapped in cold and wet clothes for another 8 hours. "oh man holy shit! taehyung, it's almost dinner. we need to go home, before namjoon decides to cook again!" taehyung's eyes widened. "shit we need to hurry!"

jimin looked at jungkook's phone. "what's that?" jimin was curious as always. "it's a phone, you can use it to play games, talk with people, know the date and time, just about anything." jungkook explained. jin chimed in. "what do your roommates look like? you mentioned you had three?" "taehyung is one of them, and then there's yoongi hyung and namjoon hyung." jungkook was showing them a group photo. hoseok seemed to be staring at yoongi, while jin was staring at namjoon.

"can we visit them?" hoseok asked. "yeah, when you can walk" taehyung teased them. jungkook gave him an 'are you fuckin serious' look. "orrr... we can get them to come over. but they're busy with their jobs, so you won't get to see them a lot."

"yah, kookie! i see the bus coming!" taehyung shouted from the bus stop. jungkook jumped up and started running towards the bus stop.

mermaid's POV

"hm... legs? maybe we can ask the old wishing well." hoseok really wanted to meet yoongi in real life. "but we would need clothes, and a place to stay that isn't water. we would also need identification." jin was stating all the cons of becoming a human, although he wanted to see namjoon, too. "maybe they would let us stay with them?" jimin really wanted to see jungkook and taehyung. they had really nice bodies, and jimin loved them. but adjusting to human life could be hard, wouldn't it?

oh well, a decision has to be made anyways.
