Elizabeth's POV
"How are you feeling Elizabeth?" Diane asked.
"Better, thank you. Do you know how Meliodas is doing?" Just then Ban, King, and Gowther walked in the room. "Sir Ban! Is Meliodas okay?!"
"Not really, he passed out and he's running a little fever-" Ban was cut off by King's worried shouting.
"A little fever...A LITTLE FEVER! BAN! He's on FIRE!"
"What! Captain's on fire!" Diane shouted.
"Not literally Diane. Surprisingly." King said. I had to check on him. I have to see him.
"Please, take me to Sir Meliodas." With that Ban carefully picked me up bridal style and carried me to Sir Meliodas' room. He sat me in a small chair beside his bed and left to grab a cool towel. I glanced at Sir Meliodas, who was breathing and sweating heavily. My look of concern grew, I was truly worried for him and his health. I thought back to when he attacked me. When it attacked me. His eyes looked like they do when he uses his demonic powers, but, scarier.
I suppose Ban had something else to do because King walked in with a towel and a bucket of ice cold water. He quickly dipped the gray towel in the water, wringed it out, and put it upon Meliodas' head.
"This should bring his fever down. I'm going to get Gowther to see if he knows what else to do. You sit tight, okay?" I nodded. But just before he left the room I asked;
"Do you think Sir Meliodas will be okay, Sir King?" He turned to face me and softly smiled.
"If you're with him, he'll be just fine. He just needs some time." I blushed a bit and nodded.
If I'm with him
I pondered the thought and smiled. It's nice to know that I can help Sir Meliodas as long as I'm in his presence. But, why?
Does this mean he feels the same way I do about him? Or was Sir King just trying to make me feel better?
Question after question swirled through my mind until I hear a quiet groan. I turned my head to see Sir Meliodas stirring a bit then opening his beautiful, emerald eyes.
"Sir Meliodas! Are you alright? How do you feel? Do you need me to dip your towel again?" I asked questioned him continuously until he shook his head.
"I'm alright Elizabeth, just tired. Did Ban tell you what I said?" He asked. I looked at him, puzzled.
"No, Sir Ban only told me your condition." I answered. Sir Meliodas sighed and stared into my eyes while I got lost in his.
"I'm sorry Elizabeth. I'm so sorry."
King's POV (let's mix it up shall we)
I walked down the stairs of the Boar Hat and outside to find Gowther. However, who I found instead was Diane sitting on the grass. Her knees were held up to her chest with her arms around them and her head was down. I flew over to her and asked:
"Are you okay Diane? How do you feel?" She took her head out of her arms and stared at me. She opened her mouth to say something but only nodded and put her head back down. "Come on Diane,I know something's wrong, you can tell me. You know I'll listen," I said. She raised her head once more, tears flooding from her violet eyes.
I quickly flew over and hugged her arm. I allowed my green pillow to expand enough for her to lay down. I motioned for her to lie back and she didn't refuse. As she lied down I did the same next to her. She dried her eyes and said; "I'm scared, King." I sighed.
"I know, I am too. But Captain's going to be okay, I promise." I softly smiled at her. She looked over her shoulder and smiled back.
"Thanks, King."
Ban's POV
I asked King to take Captain the cool towel. He told me he was going to find Gowther but I saw him with Diane and she seemed upset. I took the liberty of going to find Gowther myself.
When I found him he was, like usual, reading a book. His pink hair drooped over his glasses as he read.
"Yo, Gowther," I said. He looked up from his book and stared at me before returning to it.
"Hello, Ban," he said as emotionless as ever.
"Have you found out what might be wrong with the captain?" I questioned.
"Yes, actually. It's demon sickness." My eyes widened a bit.
"What is that? Is it because of his demonic powers?"
"Yes. It's not because he uses the powers in general, but because his powers are taking over." He continued, "He has the powers of the Red Demon correct? That demon was and is very dangerous and can be angered easily. The captain has been getting angered easily from stress. The demon inside of him must have taken over when he attacked Elizabeth. He never remembers being upset and that is because he's never in control." He explained
"So that means all those other times he got upset the demon was slowly taking over?" I asked.
"Yes. And this time the demon fully controlled him to act how he did. Captain's body was obviously not prepared for so much power at once, which caused him to fall ill." He said
"What if this happens again? Do you think the captain will..." I couldn't say it. I didn't even want to think about it.
"Correct, if this is to happen again, Captain might die."
Hello people!
Sorry I haven't put up any chapters lately, I've been very busy. But now it's summer break for me and I'm back from my trip so I have nothing else to do. That means more writing time! Sorry if there are some spelling mistakes, my phone cracked and I can't read the words very well.
Until the next chapter✌💜
