The next couple of days went nicely. I went to school, and did what was asked of me. Logan and I were becoming friends rapidly. He was kooky, and kind of eccentric when it came to things he liked. Once when I brought up the subject of robots, he nearly talked my ear off. I didn't mind it though. I would listen to him, and he in turn to me, even if I talked about Barbie dolls, or the newest Hollywood couple. Of course my pleasant days often hit a snag when it came to seeing Steven in gym class. Steven made it a mission to grope Alana as many times as he could. Thankfully badminton season ended, and we moved on to playing ping pong, and this time we chose the partner. Phew. :p I did what I do best in awkward situations-pretend as if nothing ever happened. I erased all foul thoughts from my mind (the best I could anyway) and feigned as if I'd never known Steven. Denial is my best friend.

The weekend came and passed. Soon it was Tuesday afternoon of the next week. Mr. What'shisname decided to give my photography class a new assignment. This time he wanted us to work with shutter speeds and show objects in motion with streaks, and blurs and all that good stuff. I was thoroughly confused, but luckily the teach' made Logan my permanent partner since I missed most of the introductory stuff. Sadly, I had to write a paper researching a bunch of terms and famous photographers instead. Boo hoo.

"This is going to be a pretty extensive project." Logan said, turning to me after the lesson had finished being explained.

"Really? How so?" I asked.

"Since this is only Intro to Photography, Mr. Gall (Apparently that's his name) is trying to fit basic lessons into the limited semester. We did still life, now it's time for motion. He wants ten pictures, and there's no class time."

"Right...so then, we do it outside of class? We'll both take five pictures each?" I offered my suggestion.

"I was thinking that we go to my house first, and construct a few pictures of our own, or go around town. There's a lot of stuff you missed so, I think it'd be best if I accompany you."

"Are you trying to say I'm stupid or somethin'?" I mocked anger.

"N-No! Not at all! I just want us to get the best grade possible and I think I could teach you a few more neat tricks." All of this flew from Logan's mouth. The boy was practically wheezing.

"Chill! Don't go into cardiac arrest Logan. I was kidding around. I don't have a problem with your plan, but I don't want to be a bother, and take up your time. I'm sure you'd do all this much faster by yourself."

"It's no problem at all! I guess I could do it faster on my own ...but then I wouldn't have a bit of fun. Plus, I want to work with you. Please?" Logan stared at me behind his glasses, and the way his face crumpled when he pleaded was too cute. I couldn't resit him.

"Sure. Just tell me when and where."

"Really? Great! How about after-school tomorrow? I'll pick you up, and take you to my place. We can go on from there."

I thought about it for a moment before responding.

"Umm...will your parents be okay with that? I wouldn't want to disrupt dinner or something."

"Ha. No they won't mind a bit. My dad works late, and my mom is in her office most of the time. Is that alright?"

"Sounds good. My mom should be fine with it."

We decide to outline what things we were gonna shoot for the next day.

It was a cool October day so I wore a light pink sweater, and dark wash jeans while waiting for Logan to pull his car around Wednesday afternoon. It was taking a little while since both buses and cars were fighting for the limited road space. Mellie had rushed to catch the bus, but not before shouting out goodbye over her shoulder. I fought the slight chill and eventually the familiar silver sports vehicle flashed in the sun. I bounced gaily towards him, and threw my book-bag in the back seat before climbing in myself.
