Children are always someone's pride and joy. The child will always love someone who's always been there, adopted or not. They will always appreciate, love, and cherish whoever raises them. When you're given to someone at birth, there's something inside you that automatically attacthes to that person. Especially if that person is a great father figure. Maybe even if you have two father figures.
Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne were happily married together with two children that they loved and adored. Sure, they were adopted at birth, but they treated them as if they were their own flesh and blood.
Josiah was first. He had such a beautiful mother, and when he was born, Louis and Liam were quite happy with their choice of a surrogate mother. Josiah came out as a gorgeuos little boy. Louis completely fell in love with his brown eyes that reminded him plenty of Liam. Liam loved the feathery hair of the boy, because it was much like Louis'. They knew nothing would ever make them stop loving the boy.
When Josiah was around six years old, they decided it was time for another kid. Instead of using a surrogate mother, they went to an orphanage. When they arrived they found the most amazing two year old little girl by the name of Chelsea. Apparently her mother dropped her off at the door of the orphanage with a note, that old story you'd hear to make you cry; actually coming true. Liam had to have her. His heart melted at the luminescence of her green eyes. Louis loved her just as much, and jumped with joy when they were able to take her home.
Six years later, tragedy struck the happy family. When Louis got a call late in the night that informed him his husband had just been killed in a car accident, he wanted to cry. He wanted to thrash out, making a mockery of himself. But he didn't. Instead, he stayed strong, and quietly tiptoed into the room of his sleeping little angels. When he entered, they were sound asleep, oblivious to the world around them. Louis choked back a sob, dreading having to tell his children their father had just been killed. He stood there, watching the unconcious minors, and he thought of the last time he had seen his husband. He smiled as he remembered the last words he said to him were, "I love you, LiBear." Tears were finally trekking down his face.
He left his children to sleep, and figured he'd deal with telling them in the morning. He sadly slumped back into bed on Liam's side, taking in the scent of what used to be. He cried himself back to sleep, dreaming of all the happy times he had with Liam. He wanted to be back in his arms. He hated the sudden nostalgia that was over taking his body. He hated the feeling of sadness, and the thought of never being loved again.
In the morning, Chelsea traveled down the hall to her father's room to find only one in bed. She crawled in next to Louis, softly hugging him awake. His eyes fluttered open to meet his daughter's green orbs. She smiled widely, not aware of her father's pain. She curled up into a ball by his side and hummed lightly, "I love you, daddy." Louis smiled and began to cry. He was glad she wasn't questioning where her father was, but he had to tell her.
Louis let out a sigh, "Sweetie, go get Jojo please." he requested. Chelsea hopped out of the bed and ran to fetch her brother. When she returned, a groggy eyed twelve year old boy walked in, asking what his dad could possibly need that early in the morning. Louis patted the bed a couple of times, initiating them to sit down besides him. Chelsea eagerly sat on her father's lap, while Josiah sat next to him.
