Nanbaka: The Vice Warden

After the emergency announcement meeting about the fact that the Warden would be leaving for the Police HQ due to a certain mistake at the New Years Tournament two years ago, many of the Supervisors decided to head to the break room to take a breather from the mindfucking tension the Warden emitted during the meeting; and of course, her sister, Yukimi wasn't affected at all, but she wasn't please either, mainly because now she has to take care of Nanba as a whole during her sister's absence.

"Well, what do you know, the Police department doesn't trust us after all. It's no surprise that they're keeping the details hush-hush." The cat spoke, breaking the silence.

"And why would that be?" Kiji asked curiously.

"Because nobody would be stupid enough to trust Nanba after the incident that happened way back. Remember when everyone hated this place cause of it? I mean it totally ruined our reputation, the other prisons still talk about it, they just won't let it die, I bet they're laughing at us just now, ay, Samon." Up till now Samon was looking out into the window and was trying to ignore the cheeky comments about his older brother.

"What?" He glared back with a smear of the word 'pissed' on his face.

"Look, all I'm saying is that, the fact that the Police HQ is cracking down upon us is mainly because of the of the incident with you-know-who. And it can't be helping the Warden's case that you're still around. You know I bet that even she's worried that it might happen again, why didn't you quit when it all went down?" Mao's tone of voice was sly, but almost like he is talking to a baby.

Kiji glanced at Samon and notices that he can't hold back his anger anymore and warned the cat, "I advise you to tread carefully." While biting his lower lip.

"Maybe you're planning to attack while the Warden is away."

Yukimi sat quietly beside the colourful pheasant guard observing, the last 3 words rang inside her ears 'Warden is away'. She analysed Elf's movements in terms of infiltration and concluded that when Target S made Enki kill Elf; via mind control, the Warden of the time wasn't there. Maybe they only come when the Warden is absent. If it is so then there is a high possibility that the target will appear during her absence within these couple of days, and now she learns that Nanba's reputation is plummeting as well as the unbalanced social problems between the guards, etc. Her workload has increase yet again.

"Shut your mouth, cat! I'm nothing like him!" Samon charged over towards the cat.

"Please. It's not working effort." Kiji commented helping Samon to calm down.

Samon violently grabbed the cat by his collar, "Stop implying that just because that I'm his brother I would pull the same shit, if that is what you're saying just come out and say it!"

"That's what I think."

"Back the hell off, Deputy Supervisor!"

"Oh, pulling rank on me? That's funny coming from you." He paused to enjoy his facial expression, and continued to threat Samon, "Come on, we all know how you got that promotion, you really think you can make up for his crimes?"

"Say what?!" Samon grunted, and was almost 110% done with his shit.

"Such a good little brother, former Deputy Supervisor Samon. You can't honestly believe that you're here by your own merits, you ever thank him for giving you the world, and good on ya for standing up to him with the time came, oh wait..."

"You imp!"

"Don't you see, its only natural for people to think it'll happen again. None of your colleagues have faith in you. Do you know what everyone calls your building behind closed doors? 'Traitorous Building 5'."
