The strange thing about being trapped is that you have more time than you can imagine, to reflect back on how you managed to get to where you are now.

18 hours before being, "dead" and 5 minutes before the taxi arrived to bring the Conway family to Dublin airport.

Luke shouted down the hallway like a lunatic from an asylum, "MAM! WHERE'S MY SKATEBOARD?"
His mother, Maria Conway, who was feeling stressed out to the core at that moment but was trying to remain calm, answered him in a soft voice, "I don't know hunny. Check in the car."
"I did" he grunted back.
She tried to find a solution to her son's problem advising him to look in the back garden.
He grumbled a low pitched "fine."
Without allowing Mrs Conway to have a moment of peace, baby Sam began to burst into tears, "WAAAAAAAAH."
Then, Phoenix cried, "MAM!" impatiently.
Their mother, had reached the stage of completely losing the will to live, "IT'S JUST A BLOODY BOARD LUKE!! THEY SELL THEM IN AMERICA TOO, IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T REALISED."
Replying moodily with a hint of sarcasm Phoenix stated, "I'm your daughter, last time I checked."
Apologetically, Mrs Conway descended the stairs and kissed her daughter on the left temple, "sorry love, it's just that I'm very stressed out at the moment. Your father is still out, God knows where."
Phoenix sighed, "fine, I'll tell the taxi driver to wait a few more minutes."
Getting into a mini panic attack, Mrs Conway shrieked, "WHAT?! HE'S HERE ALL READY?! Rebecca, call your father and tell him to come home right now!"
There was no answer.
She then howled a deafening "REBECAAAAA" which the next door neighbours presumably heard.
"Yeah yeah It's ringing," Rebecca answered nonchalantly.
"Well, where is he?"
"He's outside talking to the taxi guy."
Wiping the droplets of sweat off of her forehead, Mrs Conway calmed down to some extent. "Thank God! Ok, Luke and Phoenix, help load the suitcases into the car. Rebecca, mind Sam while I make sure that the passports and boarding cards are in my handbag downstairs."
The three of them replied "kay" in unison.
Forgetting all about the stress, Mrs Conway ordered her children into the taxi, locking the front door behind her.

As soon as the Conways reached their boarding gate at terminal two, Phoenix informed the family of her upcoming plans, "I'm gonna find a toilet."
Rebecca decided to follow her older sister, "I'm going with you cause I'm bursting."
However, Phoenix snapped sourly at her, "save the details."
Mr Conway scowled and spoke to his daughter sternly, "Phoenix, be nice."
Letting out a large sigh, she headed off with her younger sister.

Luke grinned imaturely when he found out that they were beginning to board now, "Phoenix and Becky are gonna be left behind. I'd love to see the look on Phoenix's face."
His mother wasn't at all pleased with her son's behaviour, "stop acting like a fricking child Luke. You're 18 going on 19. Grow up."
Luke said various insults under his breath while starting to queue up at the gate.
