In the year 20XX, making and designing machines has been one of humanity's biggest priorities. However, not everyone wants the machines to have the same purpose. There are some who want robots to do good things, like help take care of the elderly or help scientists make revolutionary discoveries. There are others who want robots to do evil things, like steal stuff or wipe out large groups of people. Humanity is on the brink of war because of this age-old debate.
Jason is a normal teenager in a normal neighborhood. He is much like all the other kids he goes to school with. However, he has something that few others do. An internship at Helper Bots Inc., which is a not-so-well-known robot designing company. He was one of the few students selected for the internship. His mom had been nagging him to get a job for the summer, and he found it. His best friend Mike got an internship too, which made Jason even more excited.
Mike had been Jason's best friend for almost fifteen years, going back to their early years. The two of them have hung out almost every weekend, and almost every single day of the week during the summertime. They had been counting down the days until their internships started, and it was soon.
