When they were a few days off their destination, something strange happened. The children were told that the boat was going to stop for a bit and they could all go for a swim.
Everyone got very excited and scrambled to get changed and put their stuff in their cubbyholes. Zoë put her stuff away but a second later, realised that she hadn't got her goggles out.
There was a sudden grinding noise and she couldn't find her cubbyhole. Her stuff had disappeared.
Patchy came bursting into the room and told Zoë that the same had happened to her. Something strange had happened.
They forgot about it when Marisa came in and dragged the two of them out, lending Zoë her goggles. They went and had fun in the water but when it was time to get out and change, Zoë and Patchy remembered how their cubbyholes had disappeared with their stuff.
They went to where their cubbyholes should be. What they didn't expect was that the cubbyholes had reappeared.
However, once they had finished with their stuff, the same grinding noise could be heard. Once again, the cubbyholes were gone.
Zoë and Patchy told Lottie and Marisa. All Marisa said was," yeah whatever."
"You don't believe us?" Asked Zoë.
"Not exactly," Marisa really replied.
"Fine. We'll just go to the teachers then," announced Patchy.
So off they went.
