The teacher looked at the two girls and couldn't believe what they were telling him. How could their stuff just disappear? It made no sense but the girls were so insistent that he had to investigate.

Back in the room where Zoë's cubbyhole should've been, Patchy put a jumper into an empty cubbyhole. Moments later, there was the same grinding noise and it disappeared.

The teacher could no longer deny that the girls were right. The whole ship's walls were moving, taking belongings with them but leaving the people in the room behind in another room in the same place.

It was baffling. It was true. Something strange was going on.

He continued to investigate and told the girl's to go back to their rooms. As they plodded off, he examined the wall.

There was no sign that it had moved. Not even a crack. He wondered if it was something to do with when the user needed their cubbyhole.

He quickly removed his coat and stuffed it into a cubbyhole. If he was right, it should just disappear as he no longer needed the coat but it stayed there.

He took the coat out but it still didn't move. In fact, it didn't move for another 15 minutes. He had no idea what was going on.

There seemed to be no pattern whatsoever. He shook his head and went into the next room, wondering if this happened in every room.

It turned out it did. It was happening all across the boat. He should tell someone about it but decided that it wasn't that important. Who would believe him anyway.
