In Enchancia, Roland, Miranda, Amber, Antonio, James, and Isabel were thinking about how to set up for Sofia's 19th birthday party.
"My gift for Sofia is definitely a purple dress to wear," Amber said.
"That's nice, Amber," Miranda smiled. "Now where should we have the party: outside or in the ballroom?"
"Sofia loves the great outdoors, especially at night," James declared. "We can have paper lanterns outside, just like the ones Rapunzel's parents used when they were looking for her."
"Great idea, James," Roland smiled.
Meanwhile, Hugo was at a jewelry store in town, looking at the diamond rings. He didn't know which would be best to slip on Sofia's finger. An employee came and asked, "Can I help you?"
"I'm just looking for a diamond ring for my girlfriend," Hugo said.
The employee took out a box containing beautiful diamond rings. Hugo found a beautiful ring with three stones. "I'll take this one," he said. Then he paid for the ring.
"Your Grace, let me just say that it's nice you're going to propose to your girlfriend," the employee smiled.
"Thank you," Hugo smiled. "I look forward to proposing to her. Sofia is a great girl, and after all these years, she hasn't changed even a little."
"Great to know," the employee smiled.
Soon enough, Sofia's birthday had come. The sun was setting, and that meant Sofia's birthday party was about to start. She was in her room, putting on the dress Amber had given her.
"Amber, this dress is gorgeous," Sofia gushed. "Thank you!"
"Any time," Amber smiled. "I'm sure your party will be just as beautiful."
Outside, everyone was waiting for the birthday princess to make her big entrance. Hugo was looking at the engagement ring he bought for Sofia—he really looked forward to proposing to her. Soon enough, Sofia came outside, and everyone was amazed by how beautiful she looked.
Sofia was really having fun at her party, and after she opened her birthday presents, Hugo felt like the time has come to propose.
"Sofia, we've been friends for practically a decade, and I want you to know that I love you to death," Hugo told her.
Everyone thought that was very sweet, and Sofia was touched by this. "I love you, too, Hugo," she smiled.
Hugo smiled at her dreamily. He took out the ring box and knelt down on one knee. When he opened the box to show the ring, everyone gasped, and Sofia was so surprised that she could hardly breathe.
"Princess Sofia, will you marry me and make me the happiest man in the world?" Hugo asked.
Sofia could barely speak, but nonetheless, she cried out, "Yes! Yes, I will!"
Hugo slipped the ring on Sofia's finger. Then he stood up and kissed her. Everyone cheered loudly—Sofia and Hugo are getting married. They couldn't be any happier than they already are.
