The very next afternoon, the bridal shower was held at Enchancia Castle. Axel was with his wife and son.

"Is Uncle Hugo going to be okay?" Mike asked. He knew that his uncle wasn't very happy with how his future stepsister-in-law is taking over the wedding plans.

"I'm sure he will be, son," Axel smiled.

Sofia and Hugo were sitting together, and Sofia wasn't really in the partying mood. She was still affected by Amber taking over the plans for the wedding.

"Don't worry, sweetheart," Hugo told his fiancée. "At least your sister didn't choose your dress for you."

"That's true, but it's all fun and games until she tells me everything she knows about being a wife," Sofia declared.

"Well, at least she doesn't know anything about being a duchess," Hugo smiled.

Sofia smiled back at her fiancé—she loved how he looked at the bright side of any situation. She learned that lesson when she magically lived her 11th birthday 38 times.

Sofia and Hugo looked through the gifts they got, and when Sofia found a gift from Amber, she was shocked—Amber's gift to her was a pearl necklace. Sofia was surprise that Amber would give her a necklace since she's worn her magical amulet ever since she was 8. But Sofia didn't want to hurt Amber's feelings, so she told her sister that she liked the necklace.

That evening, the bridal shower was over. Sofia and Hugo had a great time. They decided to have some time alone while their families were in the playroom with Mike and Miguel.

"Well, that was really fun," Sofia smiled.

"Yes, it was," Hugo smiled.

Suddenly, Amber showed up, holding the box that was containing the pearl necklace she had given Sofia. "Sofia, you forgot to put on your necklace," she said.

Sofia wasn't sure how to tell Amber the truth, but she can't lie. "Amber, you know I'll always love you, but I don't think I should put that on," she said. "I'm going to stick to wearing my amulet and this choker." She was not only wearing her amulet but also a choker that belonged to Hugo's mother, Queen Samira. King Garrick gave it to her on their wedding day, and when Sofia and Hugo were kids, Hugo gave the necklace to Sofia.

"Oh, don't be ridiculous, Sofia," Amber scoffed. "If you're going to be a great bride, you have to wear a pearl necklace. It'll also show that you're a good wife."

Sofia was offended. It was bad enough that Amber was taking over the wedding, and now she's telling Sofia what she thinks will make her a good wife. "Now you're telling me how to be a wife?" she glared.

"Well, I'm a more experienced wife than you are, and marriage is a big deal," Amber said. "There are some things about yourself that you need to change when you get married."

Sofia was started to boil from Amber's bossiness. "Are you telling me that being who I really am is going to make me a bad wife?" she snarled.

"Sofia, getting married is a big change, so that's why you need to change, too," Amber declared, not noticing Sofia's anger. "Listen, Sofia..."

But Sofia was so blue in the face that she just had to let her anger out. "No, you listen!" she growled. "You say I have to change when I get married, but you haven't changed a bit! You still hang on to your bossiness and your ego. It's bad enough you've been taking over the wedding plans—I don't need you telling me how you want me to be a good wife, too! Nothing means more to you than fancy events—well, nothing means more to me than being happily married to Hugo! Nothing about being married is more important than our happiness! Nothing! Is that clear?"

Then Sofia walked away, leaving her sister astounded. Hugo just stood there, not affected by Sofia's explosion at Amber—he agreed with every single word his fiancée said.

"Well, Amber, if that doesn't make you realize what an awful sister you've been, who knows what will?" Hugo asked.

"You've got a point," James's voice rang out.

James, Isabel, and Antonio had seen Sofia's explosion at Amber, and they all agreed. Amber was embarrassed that Sofia had exploded at her in front of them without knowing it.

"Amber, when we got married, all I dreamed about was being happy," Antonio said. "You said that nothing means more to you in the world than being happy, and Sofia feels the same way."

"So when Sofia and Hugo get married, all they really want is to be happy to have each other," Amber realized.

"You got it," Isabel nodded.

Amber finally realized how rotten she had been, taking over the plans for the wedding and telling Sofia that she has to wear pearls to be a good wife. She really wanted to apologize to her sister.

Sofia was in her room, sitting on her bed and crying with her face buried in her arms. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "Enter," she called.

Hugo entered the room, and it broke his heart to see his fiancée crying. "Sweetie, your sister has something to say to you—if you'll let her," he said.

"Okay, send her in," Sofia sobbed.

Amber entered Sofia's room, feeling guilty, especially when she saw her sister in tears. "Sofia, I want to say that I'm sorry I tried to take over your wedding, not to mention tell you how I think would make you a good wife," she apologized. "You're right—I haven't let go of my selfishness from my childhood. I guess I got so excited for you that I wound up making the wedding more about me. I'm really sorry, Sofia—you too, Hugo."

Hearing those words made Sofia feel a little better. "It's okay," she smiled.

"No, it's not," Amber insisted. "This wedding is about you, not me. You're the bride, so the wedding should go your way. If there's anything I can do to make up for what I did, I would totally do it."

Sofia thought about this. "Well, you could help me redesign my wedding dress," she said.

"I can design it anyway you want," Amber offered.

"And as my maid of honor, it would be much appreciated if you could wear that pearl necklace you got me," Sofia added.

"Anything for my sister," Amber smiled. "But can I also design the wedding invitations? I'll make a few suggestions, but I'll also let you pick the one you want."

"That would be fine," Sofia smiled.
