Chapter 18

Alexis's POV

We walk back to the Leaf Village taking a few days.

Once we get back I race through town, purposely avoiding Hana and Logan.

"CHASE THAT PIRATE!" Logan and Hana yell as they chase me.

"No, don't chase the pirate." I say and Logan has confusion written all over his face.

I get to the Hokage office and I run in, close and hold the door so the two can't get in and I look at Lady Tsunade who looks ready to kick me.

"Don't kick, don't kick!" I yell waving my hands in front if me. "Its just me Alexis." I say to Lady Tsunade quickly.

"Oh. Good, I thought we were being attacked by pirates." Lady Tsunade says and sits at her desk.

I slide down the door and sit there. "For one, I was only proving a point to Sai, he called me old. For two, mission failed." I say to her and I hear Lady Tsunade snap something in half.

"Failed? What do you mean failed?" Lady Tsunade asks me calmly, too calmly.

I'm on thin ice.

"Well you see, when we we're gonna capture Sasori's subordinate, he turned out to be Kabuto, and Kabuto had a pal with him. That pal turned out to be Orochimaru, Naruto went nuts and Sai ran after Orochimaru, while I was trying to keep me and Sakura from falling off the side of a bridge into a raging river, thousands of yards below us. Then when I went after Sai, we found the hide out. One thing led to another and we found Sasuke, but then Sasuke got away. That's how the mission failed." I say to her nervously.

"WHAT!" Lady Tsunade yells flipping her desk to the other side of the room.

"I think I hear someone calling me, I have to go." I say and try jumping out the window but Lady Tsunade grabs the back of my shirt and pulls me back.

"So you mean to say, you lost Kabuto and you couldn't bring back Sasuke?" Lady Tsunade asks.

"It was my fault, if he didn't try killing Naruto and if Sasuke didn't say a few things to me, he would be sitting in the interrogation room right now." I say to her as I bow in apology.

Tsunade sighs. "Take the rest of the day off and be here tomorrow morning." Tsunade orders me.

"Yes ma'am." I say to her and walk out of the office.

Yamato looks at me. "Thank you." Yamato says to me.

I nod. "Just remember Yamato, I was the one who froze, it was my fault we failed." I say to him.

Yamato sighs and nods. 

I walk to my apartment building and I see Hana and Logan kissing, I pass them and I walk to my apartment, I unlock the door and walk in, I close and lock the door behind me. 

I take my Jonin vest off and set it on the back of a chair. I take my ninja sandals off and I leave them by the door, I walk to my bathroom and I shower and change into a red tank top with dark blue shorts. I walk to my kitchen and I make myself some food while mentally counting down.

And 3, 2, 1

"Hello Hana, Logan." I say as they walk into my apartment.

"Its just sad that she expects this now." Logan says and Hana nods.

I take my plate of food to the living room and they follow me.

I sit down on my couch and I flip through the channels.

Hana sits down next to me. "Alexis, are you ok?" Hana asks me carefully while shooing Logan away from us.

"No." I pause. "Why would I be ok when my little brother plans to kill my twin brother and plans to break my soul in half? Why would I be ok when both my brothers left the Leaf?" I ask her.
