*Quick update - I know I don't usually do this at the beginning of a new part/chapter, but I wanted everyone to read this! I realise there have been so many people messaging me and commenting recently, asking me to update this fanfiction, and I want to say first that I am so sorry for taking so long in doing so! It's been a rough few years, and I haven't forgotten about any of you or my other stories, if any of you read more than one of mine. I do have the rest of the plot of this fanfiction written down and all planned, so there will be a lot more to come! If you read any of my other stories, I am planning to finish those as well, because I know people want more of them, so I'll be getting very busy, all for you guys!

Lastly, I want to thank you so much for reading, and being a fan and commenting, every last bit really means a lot to me! I do read them all, and try to reply to every question and message. I know I don't have much on here for being a member for a few years, I regret being inactive on this site so much, but there will be changes to come! Oh yes, there will be! Enjoy!*

I had no idea how much time had passed by, or when I had even passed out. Before I opened my eyes, I was greeted with dull pain around my middle. There wasn't much I could recall after Pai had thrown us out of the window, everything just went black as I heard my own voice call out for Kisshu. I could still feel the tight pain of Pai's arms wrapped around me, but I knew he wasn't there anymore, I could feel that I was completely alone. But where was I?

I blinked through the pain and opened my eyes to find myself in a very dark place, a place I wasn't sure I had been to before. It felt familiar, but I couldn't place it, for some reason. It definitely wasn't any place on Earth, it seemed too alien. It had a strange dark atmosphere to it, like there could be a million eyes watching me, or there could be no one around that I would bump into for centuries.

As I stood, my head throbbed a little as my heart started to work hard, adrenalin pumping through my veins as I frantically tried to find a way out. There didn't even seem to be any way in to this place, so I had no idea how I would possibly be able to get out. It seemed to be one room, although I could see only darkness all around from where I stood, like this was just a floating island in the middle of a starless universe.

An hour passed by without me getting any closer to finding freedom until a sudden strange noise came from somewhere behind me. I stopped, trying not to make the slightest sound as to alert the strange presence of my own, listening to what other noises I might hear.

'Pai?' I heard Kisshu's voice ask angrily.

Was Pai here? If so, I hadn't seen him, or was he watching from somewhere I couldn't see through, like a one-way mirror?

'Kisshu?' I dared to speak aloud.

I turned at the same time Kisshu did, and our eyes locked. Relief and happiness instantly flooded my heart as we both strided to hug each other tightly. I never wanted to let go of him. It was funny how when we first met, I was terrified of seeing his face, of being in his presence, but now I couldn't be happier and safer, and I wanted to stay in his arms forever.

'How long have you been here, my love?' Kisshu asked, releasing me and holding my face in his pale hands.

'I don't know, I woke up about an hour ago. I don't even remember falling asleep.' I answered, feeling a sneaky tear roll down my face.

'Has Pai hurt you in any way?' He asked, scanning my body for injury.

'No, probably just a bit of bruising around my ribs, but nothing I can't handle. I haven't even seen him in here.'
