I opened my eyes to be greeted with the beautiful sight of the night sky, every star visible and shining down brightly on me. The night air was colder than the hard ground I was lying on. Everything was quiet except for the tiny sounds of crickets daring to chirp around me.
How did I get here? Was all that fighting a dream? Had something hit my head while I was walking? I thought with a frown. Moving a hand up to my head, I instantly. My black glove gleamed in the moonlight and I could already feel various bruises forming across my body. My new ears were still there, too, as well as my whole outfit and fluffy tail.
Rolling over onto my stomach, I intended to get up but was quickly crushed back down by someone’s knee. I whimpered in pain as they pushed my cheek hard against the ground. I lay there, motionless, until they lifted their weight off me.
‘You know, you could be so much better off if you were with me, little panda bear.’ said Kisshu, inches from my head.
‘I have no idea what I just did or what just happened.’ I confessed, ready to cry.
‘Well you sure looked like you knew what you were doing. And you know more than you think you do, honey.’ He continued, sitting next to me cross-legged.
‘Who exactly are you?’ I breathed, attempting to get up but was thrown back down by him crossing his feet over my back. I let out a soft cry.
‘I’m the one that’s made for you, sweetie. So dump these loser freaks and become one of us!’ Lifting his feet off of me, he got on his hands and knees, looking down at me. I turned my head to frown up at him.
‘You’re only confusing me even more,’ I said before he swiftly took a firm grip on my arm, causing me to yell out in pain. ‘Get off me!’ I heard myself shout as a bolt of energy rushed through me, sending him flying into the air. He spun around, disappearing and reappearing each moment. He stopped and looked at me; I was now on my feet.
‘I like it when they fight back,’ He flashed his sharp teeth, maliciously grinning down at me. ‘See you round, panda bear.’
He vanished and I was left alone in the dark until I remembered there were other girls with me. My eyes widened and I looked around; five girls’ bodies lay still on the ground, scattered randomly. I hurried over to the closest one, the girl in pink, and knelt beside her, watching her chest rise and fall. Relief spread through me and I stood up, checking to see if the others were still breathing. Everyone was but their stillness was unnerving me.
My body didn’t let me leave them; they somehow felt like my sisters even though I hadn’t really even met them, yet. And part of me wanted to stay behind to get some answers as to what had just happened.
‘Mini Mew!’ A voice chimed through the still air.
I froze and glanced down at the cat girl’s pink hair, which was moving. Then out came the small fur ball that gave me the yellow pendant that changed me into one of them.
It was a very cute ball of pink fluff but I was a little frightened of it from having never seen anything like it before. It flew towards me and stopped at an inch from my face, its wide pink eyes staring into mine. It looked like it was trying to see what I was thinking. It pressed itself against my cheek when I turned my head slightly and I couldn’t help letting out a giggle from the touch and nuzzles of its soft fur. I grabbed him softly and pushed him away a little to get a good look at him.
I was grinning at him for a while until I remembered about the girls hopelessly passed out on the ground around me. Letting go of the soft ball of pink fur, I looked down at the pink girl, worried, and wracked my brain for a solution.
