"Good afternoon class! Please tear a sheet of paper!" The student became so scared, which kind of lecturer is this?, they have no any other choice than to follow his command,He smiled and walked 'round the class without saying a word, they kept staring at him waiting for the questions. Surprisingly He said "write your name, your Registration number, he said to make things clear write your biography too.
They All Smiled and start writing excluding Siyama who begun to starred at him, he exactly knew she's starring at him but he smiled and said "who so ever that is not cooperating and writing should leave the class. she started Acting lunatic then later she started writing some thing.
After some minutes, he collected the papers and said who is going to represent the class? The students kept quiet he said who is your representative they all kept quiet because they don't have any thing like class representative. He understood that, "It seems like you don't have.Well! I will choose 2 girls 2 boys to come and stand in front of you all, then you will Choose He chooses 2 boys and one girl sitting at the back and lastly he pointed to Siyama because of her uncertainness behaviours..
The students stood in front of the class, DR SADDAM gave them the papers to read their own publicly "search for yours and read it out please I want to see the level of your Approachal and manners" they all searched theirs and read it, then it's siyama's turn now, she opened the paper and cleared her throats..she began
Good afternoon class
my name is siyama bn Muhammad Zakyn
I'm from Saudi Arabia But I live in Nigeria for further studies. My parents live in Egypt too and I have only one brother his name is Ammar muhammad and Arabic is my language, Also I can speak English and French too. Dr SADDAM stood there Anxiously , sighting her, what a coincidence! He's from Saudi too but lived in Nigeria for some years now. "No wonder! That's why she's beautiful!" He soliloquises. "Now you can vote" majority of the class members voted Siyama to be their class representative. That's what happened. She's the class representative now
It's now 4:00pm, he left the class for Asrprayer It took him 15 minutes to do that and returned 4:15. "Good afternoon once again class, sorry for bitten over the bush, I wasted your 1 hour choosing or let me say voting a class representative, sorry for that I just wanted to organize the class before I start lecturing. Well, as you already know the course title is "Software Applications in the library or Library Application software. This course is very simple is just trying to explain the meaning of software and the number of softwares we have and lastly how we can apply software in the library. I believe you already know the meaning of a library" the students answered "yes".
"Okay, who can define a library? Let's start with the class representer What is that your name please?" She pretended not to hear him, it was Marwa that touched her " he's referring to you" she frowned " Library is an institution...." he cuts in "is not an institution" "Library is an organization...." he cuts her in, the second time. "Is not an organization" she became angry "then I don't know" she said.
"You see the reason why I asked you the meaning of a library! I might not Agree with your own definition. So when I open a room in my house and put my books the way I feel is it not a library ?" he asked.
Marwa who sat next to Siyama said "it can never be a library unless you organize the books" Dr SADDAM smiled "yes I organized them the way I want them to be not the way everybody wants them to be" One boy named Aliyu Ibrahim Othman, who was sitting at the back replied him "if people are using the information resources there...". He cuts him in "no it's my own personal consumption" Aliyu Ibrahim became confused "okay sir is a library since you're making use of the information resources there" "so if I'm not making use of them, you can go to a library where for more than 5 years the resources there has not been used." "If people are coming sir or the place is always open it's a library" said Ibrahim.
Dr SADDAM removed his shade and dropped it on the table and cleared his throat "Yes, people are coming but for party. That is why I said I may tend to disagree with your own definition, why? Because the word library comes from the Latin word "Liber" which means book, and book is just a container, is just like a plate of food. So simply library is a container that houses information resources. It's 5:00. My time is off. Till we meet next week. There he left the class
Siyama became so angry, what's wrong with this creature, I don't think he's a lecturer! she hallucinates
