"Hey." I look around, in denial that she's talking to me. "Hey Brooke." She moves her head so she can get my attention. "Oh, Hi." "From dancing at clubs to volunteering at animal shelters. It seems like you have the full package." She says jokingly. I'm still a little shocked that she's standing next to me, so I just look at her,  speechless. "Not a girl of many words?" I shake my head. "Oh, you're just a little star struck. Don't worry, I get that a lot." We both laugh.

Keyana looks in my direction from the other side of the room. "What the flipping...!" She whisper shouts. The others look to Keyana, then me. "Wow." "That's Briana Green." I hear some of the other volunteers say.
"Seems like you're pretty lucky to be next to me." She smirks. I smile. Some time goes by and we continue to clean the cages in silence.

"Well, it was nice to see you again Brooke. Don't lose your bag this time." She says taking off the gloves, then she walks out. Keyana immediately comes to me and fans me. "Girl! Your luck just doesn't end!" I fake faint, then we both laugh. I can't believe that just happened! Seems like Hoops is gonna stay on my mind after all.

"If y'all keep bumping into each other like this, I'm gonna start planning the wedding." Says Keyana as we drive home after we finish at the shelter. "Hello. There's still Jennifer!" I say rolling my eyes. "Don't worry girl, I got that covered. You get the bae, I'll take care of her." We both laugh. "Oh Shoot! I almost forgot about my date with Jess. Please drive me there after I freshen up at home." "Sure thing."

I shower and get all glammed up. As soon as I'm finished I get a text from Jess.

**I can't make it :( My grandma is sick and my mom left her here for the weekend.
*that sucks :( I hope she gets well soon.

I'm super disappointed. I made myself so cute for nothing. "So, you going out with Jess or nah?" Says Keyana when she sees me sitting on the couch. "She can't anymore." "So you did yourself up for nothing?" "Basically." "Let's not waste that look girl. Callum and I are gonna hit the club tonight. Wanna come?" "Sure."

We go to the club and get super lit. I'm having a lot of fun. Got my mind off things for a while. As soon as I take a moment to sit and think, Briana pops into my head. Then I go on her instagram and like some of her pics. Then I think of something crazy. Let me dm her and see of she'll remember me. I type three different messages, deleting each one after typing it cause I can't think of a way to approach her. I finally land on "Hey Briana." Simple.

I switch my phone off and go dance with some people I met tonight. Callum and Keyana get their lovey dovey on and I continue dancing and vibing with random people. "Keke, let's go home now." I say to Keke as her and Callum finally sit down. "Yeah, let's go." We drop Callum off at his house then drive home.

"So, did you have fun?" Asks Keke, taking her heals off. "Yeah, it was great! I could tell you definitely had fun." We both laugh. She sighs. "Callum is awesome!" "Is he a good kisser?" "Nah, he's a'ight." I look at her in shock. "I'm kidding, he's amazing."
We order Chinese food and watch a movie. I check my phone, No text from Jess. I check my dms, no dm from Briana. What a dry night.
