I woke up about 2 hours later to dinner being ready. I was really happy because of how good of a cook Theresa is. I was still in pain so I just stayed in my bed till I had enough energy to get up.

"Hey Jessica, want some help?" I heard Anthony say. Yay he was still here. Wait why?

"Yes please." I thought he was just going to help me get up but he picked me up like how married people do and carried me. He was so muscular! How more perfect could he get?

He let me down in front of my seat and pulled it out for me to sit. Once I did he also pushed me in and say down at the seat next to me.

"Thanks so much, Anthony." I said.

Theresa gave us our plates with food on them and say down. My plate had corn and beans. Also salad on the side and a small cheese burger. Like small. It was a really tiny cheese burger. My drink was water and I found 2 pills of Advil next to it. I placed the pills in my mouth and drank. I thanked Theresa and began to eat. After dinner I felt the Advil working and I wasn't in as much pain anymore. I walked back up to my room, since I had enough energy, and sat on my bed. A couple minutes later, someone opened the door.

"Hey Jessica." I heard Anthony say with his cute voice. He sat down next to me. Hehe.

"Hey. Hey um how come you are here?" I asked.

"Well I asked Theresa if I could come home with you and help take care of you. She said yes so I asked my parents and they said yes too." He said smiling.

"But. Why? I don't even know you."

"I know. But everyone is always strangers at first." He said with a wink. He is quite charming.

"Shouldn't you go home though?"

"Well my parents work all day and practically night. I have no siblings either. They really don't care where I am. Honestly, I think they want me gone anyway. If I don't come home, they don't ask. They know I just went to someone's house or I just walk around the city. And I was actually wondering if I could stay her for awhile and Theresa said yes."

"Oh. I'm sorry about your parents. My mom and brother, Chris, are gone to visit my dad in Massachusetts. My mom and dad have been divorced for 2 years now. I don't mind much. My dad was really mean."

"Oh wow. I'm sorry."

"Um..why-why do you stand up for me?" I asked nervously.

"I don't know. You don't deserve it. It annoys me. Everyone bullies you!" He said. That last sentence sounded like something Gabi would say.

"Oh thanks. But why would you care so much? You're popular I bet. You shouldn't care about someone like me." I asked. I mean why? Just why? I'm nothing compared to him. I'm ugly, I am not smart, I only have one friend. I am not popular.

"Like I said I don't know. You are-never mind. I better leave, you need to sleep. Goodnight." He said and pushed my long brownish hair out of my face.

"Goodnight." He left and I decided to call Gabi.

It rang for a long time but then she finally answered.

"Hey Gabi!"

"Hey Jess!"

"Did you hear?" I asked.

"Um..no. What happened?" She asked very interestingly.

"Well I took your advise and fought back. I am never doing that again. EVERYONE ganged up on me. I have so many bruises and a lot of cuts. So please don't make me stand up for myself again. I'm not strong enough."
