We Are Alright

Chapter 5

The next couple weeks went normal. Normal as everyone bulling me. I got a few more bruises, but I am not fighting back. I can't now, I can't stand up for myself anymore. It's like impossible. But a couple thoughts have crossed my mind such as that if I just be nice to them they might not be as mean. I was going to start that Monday since it was Friday after school.

"Hey Theresa, do you know when mom and Chris are coming back home?" I asked when I got in the car with Anthony.

"Well actually your mom texting me and said that they are coming back in 3 weeks. Let's see it's been about a month now since they have been gone. Oh wow they are actually coming back sooner than they wanted too, hope everything is ok!" Theresa said back.

"Yea. Same." I said feeling a bit empty. What if something bad happen? That will make me feel a lot better (sarcasm).

Anthony already started his homework so I decided to do it with him. He was a lot smarter than me so he was always a good help. I am not dumb I actually have good grades, but he is smarter. Like he thinks a lot better than me. Me and him think way differently so he always comes in handy with homework or really anything to be anything.

"No. Wait what? I don't get this." I said confused. I slapped my forehead with my hand in frustration.

"Jessica! It's ok." He said and showed me how to do my homework right.

It was a long night of Anthony extra teaching me, but good because Theresa made like these little chicken nuggets things and they were AMAZING! Like always. She is so awesome! Anthony+Gabi+Theresa=me happy.

Speaking of Gabi, her cat had kittens and when my mom gets home I'm going to ask if I could have one! They are so adorable. The one that I really want is gray and had black strokes along his fur. He bit my toe but it was to get my attention and he is so cute! I need him!

It was fun because whenever I went to her house I could take care of the kittens. I would wash them and feed them and give them water. It was fun! And sooo adorable. There were 8 kittens and already 3 have gone because we put up signs to sell them. Gabi's family can't afford to keep all the kittens.

I went to bed around 9:45 pm after finishing homework, eat chicken nuggets, and talking to Gabi on the phone about celebretites. Like Miley Cirus and how weird she has gotten.

Next morning was as usual as always, Theresa made waffles with bacon and Anthony helped a little.

"Hey guys I have an idea!" Theresa said when we all finished breakfast, "So once we clean up and get dressed we can go I can go to the mall and then to my place and you guys can see my house. You okay with that?"

"Yes!" Anthony and I said both at the same time, excitedly.

"Alright then we can all meet down her again in about 30 minutes." She said and we all got up and cleaned our dishes and went Into our rooms.

Nice! The mall! I haven't been there in awhile. I put on black shorts and a girl top with orange and pink and brown on it. Also I put on a long gold colored necklace that had a circle at the end of it. I got my black converse and brushed my hair and put it in a pony tail letting my hair at the end flow everywhere. My hair was pretty long, going down to my elbows. I like it long though, it looks prettier.

I went downstairs and saw Anthony ready. He was wearing tan khakis and a blue button downed shirt. He had his black glasses on and his hair look even more straight than it already is. It flowed back and looked perfect. I have two perfect best friends and a perfect babysitter.

"You look...not bad." Anthony said looking up from his phone. He had an iPhone, too. He is so lucky.

"Thanks haha. You don't look bad either." I said laughing.

Theresa came in breaking my laughing. She looked stunning. Yea we were just going to the mall but still she has the best fashion ever! She wore short dark blue shorts with a really cool pattern and a white shirt that look awesome. Also she decorated herself with amazing jewelry and make up that made her look even more beautiful.

"Theresa! Wow. You look beautiful." I said giving her a hug.

"Aww same with you, Jessica. Shall we go." She said nodding at Anthony and I. He hopped up from the couch and followed us to he car.

The mall was only about 10 minutes away form my house so it was a quick drive. We listened to music and having it loud as we had our windows down. It was 90 degrees out and really hot considering how I live in Flordia and it's usually always hot.

I really haven't gone to the mall in a long time so I was so happy to. Theresa helped me have almost a whole new wardrobe. She has such amazing fashion and now I really hope people don't make fun of my clothes because then they would be making fun of Theresa, too.

Anthony was obviously bored, but he got new shoes so he was happy. And guys say girls are in love with shoes.

We went back to her house with the music playing very loud again. Her house was huge! It was a white brick house and had to pillars in he front of the house and behind that was the door that stood very tall and round at the top and covered in beautiful black paint. I didn't even know black could be beautiful, but it's Theresa so of course it is.

"Hello Theresa. Oh and this must be Jessica." Said some lady as she shook my hand, as I said hello back.

"Oh mom this is Anthony. He is a friend of Jessica, he is actually staying at our house currently but leaving today." Theresa said.

"Hello." Anthony and Theresa mom said together as they shook hands.

Her house was beautiful and fancy and just wow! Theresa and her mom talked for awhile as her dad showed us around the house. They had a whole game room! I was guessing it was for Theresa's younger brothers, I remember her mentioning them before.

I got to see Theresa's room and it was huge, too. She had a queen sized bed and a huge walk-in closet.

They walked us back to the kitchen, which by the way was huge, and fed us grilled cheese sandwiches and it was amazing. Sadly, after that we had to go take Anthony home. Today was his last day staying at my house and I was going to miss him. He was like a big brother to me and helped me a lot.

"You got everything?" Theresa asked him.

"Everything. Wait-yea everything." He replied.

We jumped into the car and went off to his house which was actually not too far from mine. Probably like 5-8 minutes away. His house, unlike Theresa's, was small and old looking. I can understand why he doesn't like living there.

Theresa and I walking Anthony up to his house and rang the doorbell waiting for a response.

"It's Saturday so my parents should be home. Wait, maybe not. Here I have a key." He said and unlocked the door.

His house was dirty. There was trash on the floor and it was disqusting.

"Sorry about the mess, my parents are never really home to help clean it up or yell at me if I don't. I'm going to have to clean though but I will tomorrow."

"Oh. Well. It was nice meeting you Anthony. Very nice. I hope to see you around." Theresa said, giving him a hug.

"Bye Anthony! I'll see you on Monday." I said. I actually wanted to give him a hug, but that would be weird. Would it? I don't know. I just gave him a high five. Wow I'm lame.

When we got in the car Theresa turned up the music again and we sang and danced in the car on our way home. It was fun like always but I missed Anthony already.
