8: stalker

Jai's POV:

My bed feels so good right now. I quickly took out my journal and got a pen. These lyrics were in my mind since I was in Amelia's house. I wrote them down.

'Maybe tonight I'll call ya'

I scratched the back of my neck, and realized the lyrics are about someone but I couldn't figure it out. I put my journal and pen aside and relaxed on my bed. I stared at the ceiling for a few minutes. All I could think about was Amelia. Gosh why though. I like how she was herself. She wasn't fake like some people in our school including me. The bad boy rep was just a cover up. I sighed. My eyes got heavy, and all the thoughts disappeared.

Something bright was exposed to my face. I peeled one eye open squinting. The sun was bright and early. I glanced at the clock at it was 7:25. I lazily walked to the bathroom. I waged my face and friend it off. I took gel a rubbed it in my hair. I was satisfied on how it looks. I choose to wear a red/black/white flannel over a white t-shirt. I zipped up my tan shorts. I picked out white nike socks and paired them with gray vans. I spray on a little of cologne. I grab my bag and head downstairs. I ate cereal, and checked my twitter. Nothing to important.

" mom, I'm outside!" I shouted for her to hear. I wait by the Mercedes. I checked the time and it was 7:58. Okay I'm going to be late. I crossed my arms.

"Don't be late" she said furrowing her eyebrows.

" I'm already late" I said getting off and rolling my eyes. I head to first period. As I walk in all eyes were on me.

" Why are you late again Mr.Bradford?" The bitchy teacher asked. I ignored her question and took a seat next to Amelia since she sat alone. I could see Samantha's jaw drop since I knew she wanted me to sit by her. I don't really give a shit about her. After taking a few notes." Hey" Amelia says facing me with a cute smile. Wait did I just think she has a cute smile? Okay calm down Jai." Hey" I said softly." Wanna hang out again?" She lifts an eyebrow." Yeah sure" I give her a smile." Hey no talking. Take notes. There will be a test soon" the teacher shouts.

A few classes go by. It's time for lunch so me and the boys head to the cafeteria.

" So Jai, any sluts yet?" Drew asks giving me a stupid ass smirk.

" Man, shut up. I don't date sluts now" I said grabbing a tray.

" Really now? So you actually like someone genuinely?" Taking an apple. I didn't answer his question since I don't know what I'm feeling right now. I'll figure it out sooner or later. The guys sat on the circle table and we start talking about football season and shit.

" So Jai, any strategies?" Cody asks then all the boys turned their focus on me." Eh, I don't know guys. Just keep your head in the game. Also wear your varsity jackets tomorrow. Gotta show pride" I said putting my fist up. They all nod their heads. Damn these guys need a leader. Good I'm here.

All of us were talking about random shit. A tanned guy with brown hair and blue eyes passed by. Tanner. I never liked that kid. I stared at where he was heading since he seemed all happy and shit. He was walking towards Amelia. What the fuck? I can't hear what they are saying but Amelia's laughing and smiling. Uh no, tanner is such an ass wipe though?

" Uh, Jai. Dude" I stopped starring and the guys are all starring at me.

" You like Amelia?" Sam asks." What?" I said shaking my head no. Or maybe... Stop Jai don't, I thought to myself. Most of the guys nodded their head saying I did but I brushed it off.

"So class that's how you use the formula" Mrs.H said pointing at the board. I was in La La land which teachers call it.

" Jai!" Mrs.H shouts. I shook my head.

" Did you listen to what I just said?" I ignored what she said and closed my eyes." Jai! What's the formula to solve the longest side of a triangle?" She asks." The Pythagorean theorem" I said putting my hands up and shrugging." Hm. Correct, next fine i want you awake, got it?" I nod." Crystal" gosh why do they gotta pick on me? Stupid teachers.

( bell rings ) I quickly put my things away. I head out. I needed a ride so I look for Amelia. I feel kinda weird when I see her talking to Tanner. What does she see in him anyways. He's pretty okay but still. I watched as he touches her shoulder. She doesn't even brush him off. As I watch both of them interact people have me weird stares.

" What?" I said rudely to a group of girls. They give me a nervous look and walked away. That's right bitches. I turn to look at Amelia and she's finally by herself. I walk faster towards her.

" Hey" I said poking her cheek." Hey, what you need?" She asked opening her Corvette." I need a ride" without hesitation I open the front passenger door and slipped inside. She just shrugged.

We arrived at her gate." Can you open the car door, I'll just walk from here" I said looking into her eyes." Oh, okay" she said clicking the button. I nod and I walked home.
