" I'm Steven Carpenter, and I own universal records, and I wanna sign you to the label Jai." Steven said. I looked at Amelia. She has a big smile on her face and nods.
" We'll call me when you're ready" he hands me a business card, and walks away.
" Dude, you know that's a big thing right?" Amelia says.
" I know" I said nodding.
" You know you wanna do this right?" I nod.
" I know". She gives me a warm smile.
" And you gotta do this right?" I nod once again.
" I know".

Amelia and I exit the theater. As we both walk to our cars I see the guys, and a few groups of girls.
" Jai!" The guys yelling walking towards me. I greet them with a handshake.
" Sup guys" I said.
" Dude, you were awesome" Sam said nodding his head. The girls agree as we'll.
" thanks, I have do go. See you next week" I said holding Amelia's small hands and walking out the door. A couple of "Ooo" we're said. I see Amelia roll her eyes and we head inside our cars. Before I get in I ask.
" Do you wanna hang out?" Leaning on my car.
" Yeah. When, I can't now since I have a class to teach." She said shrugging.
" Tomorrow" without letting her answer I slip into the car. As I drive off she shows me the middle finger. I laugh and head home.

I punch in the code. I parked my car and rush inside the house.
" Mom, Dad!" I yelled. I didn't hear an answer, so I fast walk to the kitchen. Relief I see my mom making something.
" Mom, I have great news" I said. My mom didn't say anything motioning me to continue.
"We'll, a guy from universal records wants to sign me!" I said hugging her.
" Oh my, Jai that's amazing" she said.
" What's going on?" My dad said. I let go of my mom and went to hug my dad." Dude, a guy from universal records wants to sign me" I said. My dad's eyes go wide and hug me again.
" Ohh, son I'm so proud" he said patting my back." We support you all the way" my mom said. I give her a smile and nod.

I'm pacing back and forth in my room. I'm pretty nervous to press call. Okay Jai, don't be a pussy. Just press the button. I press call and heard the first ring. My palms get sweaty and I just wait. On the third ring, someone answers.
" Hello, this is Steven Carpenter". I cleared my throat.
" It's Jai, the one from the talent show". There's a second of silence.
" Oh Jai. Nice to head ya again. Come down to universal records today at 6. I wanna hear you sing in the studio" butterflies release in my stomach.
" Okay that sounds great"." I'll see you later. Have a great day Jai".
" You too" and I hang up. I took a deep breath. I did it. I head downstairs to my studio. I looked through my journal I left on the seat. I wanna sing an original song, so I picked "thinking about you"

I glance at the time. It was 6:11. My eyes go wide. I quickly put a diamond supply co sweatshirt on with chinos. I slip on my janoski's and head downstairs. I remembered I left my guitar in the car so I ran outside. I hopped in and head to to the studio. So many thoughts are rushing threw my mind. How I'd he didn't wanna sign me anymore? Will he look at me as an irresponsible adult? Gosh, I shouldn't have taken a nap. I finally arrived and parallel parked. I ran inside the building.
