This is just an attempt at a first story. Casting and cast photos also.
My eyes snapped open, and I frantically jumped out of bed. Grabbing my phone, the light hurt my eyes, it read 7:15. Crap! I had to be in school by 7:45, awesome. It's my first day and I'm waking up late, and I had a feeling it was going to be like this for the rest of the year.
Running into my bathroom I turned on my shower, quickly undressed and jumped inside. The second the warm water hit my skin I shut my eyes, ugh I could stay here forever. After showering I washed my face real qucik, and started brushing my teeth. Still in a towel while brushing my teeth I opened up my dresser and grabbed a pair of jeans. They were a faded jean color and had a small rip right above the knee, but they came that way. I laid the jeans on my bed and searched through my closet, grabbing a dark blue zip up hoodie I threw it across the room on to my bed. I ran back to the bathroom to finish brushing my teeth, I looked in the mirror and I looked like I had rabies, attractive...
I ran back out into my bedroom, threw on the jeans and a put on a black tanktop, then the jacket, I zipped it up and searched my room for a pair of shoes. Seeing my black Uggs next to my closet, I slipped them on. My hair was still pretty wet, and was aleady a lost cause. I ran back to my bathroom, and did my make up. I never really wore a lot of make up , just a little bit of mascarra, little bit of eyeliner and some lipgloss. Turning around I saw a silver pair of hoops laying on my sink, so I figured I'd put those on too. Stepping out of my bathroom I rushed into my room, grabbed my black leather jacket off my desk chair and walked down stairs.
Mom was digging in her purse on the kitchen table, probably looking for her keys. I looked at the clock on the microwave 7:38. " Oh my god Mom ! It's 7:38 we have to leave now !"
" I know! " She shouted back " I can't find my keys !" I ran into the living room seeing them on an end table, I grabbed them, ran back to the kitchen and said " Here, let's go." Rushing out the car, one of our new neighbors walked by with their dog, and I thought even if I had a dog I would not be up this early walking it. He was trying to make coversation with her, but I heard her politely tell him we were running late. I was already waiting in the car when she hopped in, shoving the key in the ignition she started the car and backed out of the driveway.
Suddenly, the nerves hit me. It's my first day at a new school, I was running late, and I didn't know anybody. Seeing we only live about five minuets away , the ride went pretty fast, which I'm not thankful for, I stepped out of the car, shut the door and started heading towards the front doors. I heard my mom say something, which I'm assuming was something along the lines of 'have a great day', which wasen't going to help anyway.
It was pretty cold for September, and I wasen't quite used to this weather. I just moved from Florida to Boston. My Mom said she'd let me have my last summer in Florida, but it doesn't really matter since I didn't have a lot of friends. I spent most of my summer laying outback reading. My hair was almost dry now, the wind was actually doing me a favor today. Hesitantly I put my hand on the door handle, thinking about how wild my hair must look right now. It was long and brown, I never dyed it so it had some natural red highlights in it, and it was curly. Not really curly, it had curls in it, but they were also wavey . I opened the door and rushed to scan my new school ID.
"Name?" I heard the lady working the ID scanner say, "Sarah Black" I answered, trying to hid the nervousness in my voice, it wasn't working. She was looking through a stack of papers, when she handed me one with my name on it. It was my schedule. Walking away from the scanner, I was reading my new shedule when the first bell rang. Great, I was late, but seeing as I was new and it was the first day, they might cut me some slack.
Attached to my shedule was a little slip of paper with my locker number and combination. So I started the search for my locker, finally finding 4-32 , I put the combination in . To my surpirse and satisfaction it opened on the first try. Maybe this won't be an all year battle. I look at the my schedule again and it said I had Advisory, Health, and then Chemistry. I wasn't really worried about what came after that, I figured I'd just walk back to my locker, it was good pratice on remembering where it was anyway. Emptying out my school bag, and only grabbing the books I needed I started down the hallway in search of my advisory. Reading the numbers above the doors, I realized that my advisory was on the next floor, so I headed towards the stairs. As I was turning the corner looking down at my feet as I partically ran, trying to hurry , I hit the floor, and I hit the floor hard. Looking up expecting to see the concrete wall I just ran into, I saw this unessicarily large guy. Assuming he was a student seeing he had a school bag, I looked up at him, feeling my face get red with embarresment I picked myself up off the floor.
