Bonnie was nervous, she didn't really know what came across her the night before, but it was now 5pm and she had to get ready for this dinner date with Mat.

Mat had told her to dress nice, so that called for her one and only dress, a navy blue satin spaghetti strap dress that reached just above her knees. She put on a black coat and styled her hair up and did her normal night time makeup. Truth was, this was the first time in a very long time she had really gotten dressed up for anything, the last time being Cara's 21st early last year.

The clock ticked 6:30 and Bonnie was anxiously waiting for her "date" to arrive.

She assumed it was all casual, he wanted to pay her for her services, but she refused cash. She still was feeling all types of nervous, what if he thought of it as an official date, surely it wasn't, it was a spur of the moment drunk idea she had thrown out.

After moments of anticipation there was a knock at Bonnies door, he was here. Bonnie was now scared, she didn't know how to act, what if he thought she was boring? They had never properly spoken before.

The girl went to the door and slowly opened it. Mat was there a large grin on his face and a pair of white jeans in hand.

"Good evening Miss Greenwood" Mat spoke properly, a huge goofy grin on his face. He was clad in a pair of black jeans and a pink button down. Bonnie thought he looked gorgeous, he was so simple yet so intricate at the same time. He may have just thrown on the outfit, but it was truly a piece of art hanging off his body.

"Good evening Mr Musto" She answered.

"I brought the jeans, and as promised, dinner for a broke girl" Mat said holding out the jeans for Bonnie to take. She did and dropped them on her dining table before returning to Matthew. They walked out to his car and Bonnie watched as Mat opened the passenger side for her. She got in, thanking him quickly and watched as he made his way to the other side. Bonnie took a little time to admire the inside of the car. It had a tan leather interior and smelt like a mixture of disinfectant and cigarettes. When Mat hopped in though the car filled with the smell of his cologne, which Bonnie was hesitant to admit she liked a lot.

"Where are we going?" Bonnie asked once Mat was situated in his seat and reversing from her driveway.

"I thought we would go somewhere fancy, to make the most out of this night and everything" Mat answered, "I wasn't sure if you would want to go out again another time so best make tonight special you know?"

In all honesty, Bonnie had seriously thought about the possibility of tonight not being the only night out with the man beside her. She thought all night prior about going out again, being the girl her idol spoils, but tonight was just a payment, it was business. At least that what Bonnie was trying to tell herself.

They arrived outside a fancy looking hotel, Mat parked in front of the valet and handed the man his keys, tending to business with that as Bonnie looked around stunned. She had never been to this side of town, everything was just so big and expensive, she never fit in.

She got out once Mat was finished and followed him inside to the restaurant. It was a beautiful area, yellow lights setting a relaxed mood, all the tables were a luxurious ebony wood with gold detailing on the legs. She grabbed onto Mats arm as he directed her through tables and to a private table hidden behind gold lattice.

"How do you like it?" He asked once they were seated.

"This is so incredible Mat, but you really didn't have to go all out like this!" Bonnie answered admiring the large chandelier above them. She noted that if things got too awkward she can pray for it to fall and crush them and hopefully end the awkward moment.

"You asked for dinner so I give you dinner"

Bonnie laughed, "Yes, but dinner is going to cost more than I would have originally charged for the jeans."

"They're an expensive pair of jeans babe, I think it will add up"

Bonnie started to feel anxious, what if she destroyed his jeans, she would not be able to afford to pay him for her damages.

The two began talking, Matthew asking most of the questions. He wanted to get to know her, make her feel special, give her a night to remember. He wanted her to want to come back, do it all again, because he admired her, he felt a connection with her creative soul and although they were from two different worlds, he felt like they could come together and bounce off each other's creative minds. He wanted inspiration, he wanted a drive to continue music and he felt he would get it from the simple girl in front of him.

"What do you mean you don't like avocado?" Bonnie cried in shock. "it is absolutely the best food, it goes cohesively with anything, its so fresh, its perfect!" She exclaimed.

"But its gross, its slimy and its fucking green!" Mat answered as he shoved the avocado that made its way into his salad to the side.

Bonnie reached over and picked up his unwanted avocado with her fork and eating it with a giant smirk on her face.

"you can't steal my avocado!" He cried trying to fight her for her fork.

"You weren't eating it!"

"Maybe your compelling speech on how great they were made me want to give it a go"

"Bullshit, you were shoving it to the side just like the Mansionz tour"

Mats eyes widened in shock, "Did you really just?"

"Yes I did" Bonnie answered, a satisfied look on her face.

"You win, take my avocado" Mat said scooping up the remainder avocado and placing it on Bonnies plate.

When they were finished Mat paid and they walked back to the car, hand in hand. The girl had butterflies erupting in her stomach at the contact. The entire night felt so surreal, Matthew fucking Musto had just taken her out for dinner!

"Did you enjoy tonight?" Mat asked nearing Bonnies house.

"I did, thank you for dinner, I had a really good time" She answered nervously picking at a thread on her purse. She watched as he pulled up to her apartment building and parked, getting out and opening her door for her.

They walked up to her apartment in silence and stopped at the door in a cliche romance movie way.

"Will I get another date?" Mat asked a cute smile on his face.

"This was a date?" She asked in response.

"Well, you did say so yourself last night."

Bonnie recalled maybe using the word date through their texts last night. So this was her own stitch up really.

"We will see what happens" She answered, not wanting to say no and rejecting him and not wanting to say yes and confirming another date.

"Playing hard to get?" Mat asked jokingly.

"No, I'm playing professional. I will get the jeans back to you by the end of the week Mat, talk then?"

Matthew nodded his head bidding her a good night before leaving.

Leaving Bonnie with a lot of questions, a pair of jeans, and a best friend blowing up her phone for details about the night.
