"Yoongi, I know you don't want to face it, but I really think you should get clean."

"Namjoon, why are you telling me what to do, you're the one selling cannabis to a sixteen-year-old," Yoongi said, running his frostbitten fingers through his mint hair.

"I've told you before, I can't get out of the business, I need to pay off my loan." Namjoon sighed before handing him the bag.

Yoongi snatched the bag out of his hands and walked in the direction of the school, his sneakers filling up with cold January snow and road salt.

Once at school, he beelined for his locker, he quickly stuffed his bag into it and grabbed his books.

Yoongi was busy enjoying his peaceful Monday morning when a ball of energy made an appearance.

"Yoongi! how was your weekend?"

"Fine Jimin," Yoongi responded dryly. His weekend was torcher. "How about you?"

"Fantastic!" Jimin exclaimed.

Jimin had been his only friend since middle school, and while he was grateful that he stuck around, he couldn't help thinking that he was a bad influence on the brown-haired boy in front of him. Jimin deserved good friends.

"Yoongi?" Jimin asked.

"Yeah?" he sighed, already knowing what his question was.

"Can I please just come over at your place at least once?" Jimin begged with puppy dog eyes.

"You already know my answer, which is no. And stop trying that cute crap on me, it'll never work."

After finding out what was going on at home, he's been nagging him to come over ever since. Of course, Yoongi would say no, but only because God knows what his dad would do to him or Jimin if he ever saw them hanging out.

"Well, how 'bout I take out to Jungkook's party?" Jimin offered

Bleh parties, Yoongi thought, before he could answer Jimin, something caught his attention.

"Hey, horse-face!" The bully yelled as he punched the boy

"T-Taehyung, I'm sorry! I already apologized to your girlfriend, I didn't mean to look at her!"

Yoongi really wanted to help him but didn't want to interfere. Not that, that thinking makes any sense.

The boy was cute, and in no way resembled a horse. Yoongi vaguely wondered what his name was.

"Yoongi, hey, are you listening to me?" Jimin waved his hands in front of his face.

"What?" Yoongi said, snapping back into reality.

Jimin groaned.

"If you were in or not? You know, for the party," he said impatiently, tapping his foot.

"Yeah yeah, sure," Yoongi said with defeat.

This is the least he could do for Jimin, after all the good things he had done for him. For example, bringing him breakfast for the last five years.

"Yes!" Jimin said with glee, handing him his daily granola bar and a juice box.

Mm apple this morning.

"Thanks, Jimin." Yoongi said, accepting the food.

At the end of a long and gruelling day, Yoongi was looking forward to some sweet intoxication, before remembering he agreed to go to the stupid party.
