Yoongi woke with a bit of a jolt as his alarm set off, he quickly muffled it, not wanting to wake his dad up. Yoongi swung his legs over the side of his bed, allowing his warm feet to make contact with the cold ground.

He threw some clothes on and a baseball cap to help cover the swollen purple mass that has engulfed his eye.

He was used to this, trying to hide bruises wasn't as complicated anymore, just put on concealer and you're done. It usually takes a week for the bruise to go fade mostly, sometimes two weeks, because his skin was so pale.

He felt guilt wash over him when he passes by a framed picture of his whole family, together... when they used to smile. Yoongi flips it down so the picture is not visible. A sigh escapes his mouth.

If only you were here, he thought. He dragged himself down the stairs and grabbed his jacket and headed to school.

It took him twenty minutes to get to school, and another five until Jimin brought his breakfast.

"Jimin you're a lifesaver, you know that?" Yoongi said as Jimin passed him a granola bar and an orange juice box.

"As long as you get to eat, then that would be enough for me," Jimin chuckles. "Actually, where did you go yesterday? I was looking everywhere, " he said raising an eyebrow.

"Uh-"

Yoongi froze up a bit, completely forgetting the fact that he left Jimin all alone.

Yoongi catches a glimpse of Hoseok while he walks by with Jungkook. He gives him a smile and wave, catching Yoongi by surprise.

Jimin follows his gaze and grins at Yoongi.

"Oh, I see," Jimin said giving Yoongi a knowing smirk.

Yoongi felt his face flush with embarrassment.

"I'll talk to you later Jimin, I uh- have to see Mr. Kim about my uh-grades." Yoongi rushed away from a giggling Jimin, and turned a corner and stood outside Mr. Kim's room.

It took about 5 minutes till Mr. Kim finally answered. He gives Yoongi a warm smile when entering.

"Go ahead, sit down," Mr. Kim says.

Yoongi nods and smiles back. He walks to the seat right in front of Mr. Kim's desk and sits down.

"So why have you come to visit me Yoongi?" Mr. Kim asks.

"I-uh- noticed my grades were dropping, and I-um actually wanted to fix it."

"I can give you extra credit, but since most of your missing assignments are several months old, I can't do much about those."

"I don't mind doing the extra credit." Yoongi felt unlifted.

"Well, next month there's a service project and they need more students. If you do the volunteer work, I will boost your grade."

Yoongi beamed.

Mr. Kim's phone rang, he declined the call.

"I also have that test from last week that you missed, if you want to write it sometime this afternoon, I will permit that." Mr. Kim smiled gently.

Before Mr. Kim could continue, one of the office ladies popped her head in.

"Jin your boyfriend is on the phone." She said.

Mr. Kim sighed "I'm so sorry Yoongi, it must be urgent, he never calls during work."

Yoongi nodded his head, and Mr. Kim followed the secretary out of the room.
