Rose (^_^)−☆ a star for you

________this one will be turned to a book eventually.

She walked into the room a bright smile plastered onto her usually sad face. She spotted him sitting in the corner with a serious look on the normally bright face though she was too excited to notice the strange behavior. Quickly she crossed the room and offered him a small smile a bit nervous about the words she had decided to speak. "I-I have something to tell you" she said a slight nervous stutter laced into her voice, quickly soothed and smoothed out of the important words she was about to speak.

"So do I." He said abruptly looking up at her through masked eyes the brown depths refusing to show any emotion. Her eyebrows furrowed as she took notice of the strange demeanor as the brown eyes normally showed everything he felt. Brushing it off she gave him to go ahead to speak first anticipation growing in the pit of her stomach. "This is rather hard to say...I feel as if you don't love me-" he was cut off as she tried to speak but quickly interrupted her "please let me finish. And throughout the year and a half we have spent together though I have said it multiple times you always dance around the words that described how I felt about you, how I feel about you still. I am sorry but it is taking a toll on me it hurts to think that no matter how much I love you you will never feel the same, I know you have walls and don't like to let others in but have I not shown you can trust me! What more can I do to prove to you that I won't come in and wreck you? Even though it sounds selfish I can't deal with the pain. Every day I have to put a fake smile on my face and no one notices every time I look at you my heart aches with unreturned love. I am sorry and it really does kill me to say this but I think we are over and what hurts most is I know this is hurting me more than it is you" he said finishing with a shake of his head. Glancing up he saw her mouth open the words she had been proudly holding ready to say swallowed into the pain he had just caused. To unaware eyes it may have looked like she did not care and that is what he had seemed to see. He stood and walked past her his arm brushing hers as he left. If he had stayed a second longer he would have seen the first tear fall down her cheek as her face contorted into the pain she felt wash over her body. If he had not left the room he would have heard the words hidden away for so long leave her lips.

"I love you" she whispered to the space he once occupied. Her hands flew to her face as a violent sob racked her body her shoulders shaking as the flaming tears brimmed spilling over the edge with a rush. "I...I will...m-make it ok..." But she knew he was gone and nothing she could say would help. She shook her head her hands moving along with it to keep her face covered as the tears flowed for what seemed like days. She cried till it was dark before picking her crumpled frame off the retched couch and moving to her room. The sobbing having drained what energy she had left she let herself collapse on the bed silent tears streaming down her face before exhaustion kicked in and she fell into a numb dreamless sleep. She woke in the morning and slowly pulled the covers up from the ground where they had been kicked sometime in the night and walked into the bathroom. She brushed her hair and quickly braided it before brushing her teeth and walking back to her room getting dressed for work. Even if her entire world just collapsed the outside world did not care, she had to push on through her day with a smile no matter how dead she was on the inside.
