sister dearest

''Your Majesty, this came for you directly from Her Highness '' A guard stopped in front of Hae and Hansung, interrupting their conversation as the guard handed her a letter in red and gold cloth.

Hae nodded and dismissed the guard who bowed and left the duo alone.

Hansung looked at Hae curiously as she opened the cloth and took out a white paper.She quietly read it and a frown made her way up to her lips.

''Is there something wrong? '' Hansung asked her, taking a step closer and placing his arms around her waist.Hae, who was still reading the letter, nodded.

''My sister is coming to Silla. ''

''Why are you not happy then? '' Hansung inquired which made Hae let out a chuckle before folding the paper back into the cloth and turning around to face him.

''My sister and I are not exactly on best terms lately, never have been really.Over the years I learned that she was jealous of me. ''

''Wae? ''

''Maybe because our eomma favored my brother and myself over her, maybe it is because the nation loved me.I really do not know the exact reason '' Hae admitted looking down at her shoes, making Hansung frown.

He placed his hands under her chin, moving her face upwards so she was now looking at him.

''Are planning on going to the palace to greet her? ''

Hae thought about it for a second and nodded, smiling all of sudden. Hansung grinned seeing her smile and kissed her.Hae smiled into the kiss, moving her hands behind his neck, bringing him closer to her.

''You will be late '' Hae warned him once they've pulled away and Hansung nodded. Kissing her once more before walking away, leaving her smiling and shaking her head.She then proceeded to go to her room and changed into more presentable robes before leaving for the palace.

''Sit here, Hae '' Ji-Soo said, motioning to a seat next to hers and Hae nodded, complying with her mother's demand and sat down on a golden seat.

Just as she sat down, the doors opened and Sook Myung walking with elegance and her head held high, wearing a blue-purple and white hanbok.

Hae resisted a huge urge to roll her eyes at her younger sister as she walked to the seats where Ji-Soo and Hae were.She bowed before her mother.

''Your Highness, I am back from my recuperation trip''

Hae rose an eyebrow once she stood back upright and looked at her older sister and slightly nodded in greeting.

''Are you feeling better?'' Ji-Soo asked, ignoring the tension between two sisters.Sook Myung looked at her mother.
''Thanks for your concerns, I am better ''

Ji-Soo then stood up and walked over to her youngest child and stood in front of her.
''I am glad you are back Sook Myung '' She then hugged her at which Sook Myung didn't move a muscle and glared at Hae who was in front of her.

Hae narrowed her eyes at her, silently challenging her to make a move, but as always, Sook Myung looked away and Ji-Soo moved away from the hug.Walking back to her seat, Ji-Soo smiled at her eldest daughter.

''I think it would be perfect if the two of you spend some time together while I go to Hwarang House '' Ji-Soo said but both Hae and Sook Myung knew better than thinking it was a suggestion, no it was a command.

Hae nodded and stood up.''We shall go to the gardens ''

Sook Myung nodded and followed Hae out as the two bowed to their mother.Once out Sook Myung once again glared at her sister.Hae ignored it at first but after some time she got very annoyed by it and stopped.

''Would you please stop it? ''

Sook Myung smiled innocently at her sister, fake confusion taking over her features.''What do you mean sister? ''

''You know very well Sook myung.No need to pretend that you like me because we both know you do not. '' Hae remarked and continued walking, making Sook Myung have to catch up to her.

''How come you came home after years of traveling? '' Sook Myung inquired, now walking beside her older sister.Hae looked at her for a second before looking back forward, shrugging.

''Something was calling me back home ''

''Does it have anything to do with our brother coming back home? ''

The question caught Hae off guard.She herself didn't know what was calling her home.The fact is that she came just a few days after her twin brother.The myths say that twins have an invisible telepathic connection to one another and they can't be separated for long period.

''Maybe '' Was Hae's reply and Sook Myung nodded.She had a feeling that her older sister and brother already met when she was absent.

''Have you met him? ''

''Yes ''

''Will you tell me who it is? ''

Hae shook her head and it made Sook Myung even more annoyed by her answers and presence.Hae sped up to the palace and went to he room, leaving Sook Myung in the gardens.
