↳chapter thirty;
sleepless nights

That night Hae laid in bed, unable to sleep. Her thoughts kept going back to her mother's words of her becoming a queen.

''Aish'' Hae let out and stood up in sitting position. She put her head in her hands and let out a quiet sob. ''Why does everything need to be so messed up?''

Truth to be told, on numerous occasions,Hae wished that she wasn't born a sacred bone but rather in some more lowly true bone family. Her thoughts went back to her love, Hansung.She had thought that even though her mother seemed delighted with the news of her daughter finally finding someone that she wouldn't let her marry Hansung.

Fortunately, luck seemed to be on her side and her mother accepted that Hae wouldn't leave hansung,no matter what and Hansung wouldn't leave Hae either so she spared them.

''Jagiya, why aren't you sleeping?'' Her overthinking was cut short as Hansung entered her cottage. As soon as Hansung entered Hae looked up at him. He saw her tears and his small smile was replaced with a frown.

''What happened love? '' Hansung inquired taking kneeling by her bed. Hae quickly wiped her tears and shook her head.

'' Nothing jagi, I was just overthinking '' Hansung's frown deepened and he grabbed her petite hands in his big ones. She looked up at him,tears still visible in her eyes.

''Do you want me to stay?'' He asked her while running his thumbs over her knuckles. Hae just nodded her head and looked down. Sighing Hansung got up and removed the excessive clothing before laying down next to her.

''Come here'' Hansung motioned towards him and Hae snuggled into his chest.
He started combing her hair as she laid on his chest.

''Mother wants me to become a queen to rule side by side with Sam Maekjong''
Hansung hummed for her to continue.
''She's also setting him up with our younger sister and I find it unfair.'' Hae huffed out, frowning.

''How come I get my happy ending but he doesn't? I mean, I know that he's the first in the line for the crown but still, it's not fair''

Hansung looked down at her and saw her crying again.''Jagiya '' She looked up at him.

''I believe that everything will fall in place, and I know that you are stressed but overthinking won't do you any good.''Hansung wiped tears off her cheeks and cracked a small smile.

''I love you Kim Hae'' Seeing him smile made her smile also as she whispered back.
'' I love you too Suk Hansung''

The two shared a long kiss before Hansung pulled back and caressed her cheeks.his eyes darted all over her face, going over every detail.He leaned in and kissed her cheek then her nose and after that her forehead before finally kissing her lips.

Hae melted into the kiss, intertwining her fingers in his long hair. He found himself on top of her with his arms on both sides of her head,propping him up. Hae pulled away breathlessly and looked him in the eyes, holding the eye contact.

Hansung was looking at her eyes for a few moments before capturing her lips once again. He pulled away after a few moments and laid back next to her,pulling her into his chest.

''Don't ever leave me''
''Wasn't planning on,jagiya''
