Not Your Average

Chapter 10

Once he left everybody started talking.

"OOh, so you got a boy?" Natasha said.

"I guess."

"He's not that much to look at." Tony remarked.

"I believe he is kind." Thor said.

Everyone just kept asking questions or just stating things.

"OK, Ok, you want to know the truth? He was my old partner when I was a cop. He was the only one who cared if I got injured or not. We always had something, it's just different now, because we both know how life can change in an instant."

Everybody just kind of left it at that. We practiced all day. The day jsut seemed to go on and on. Finally it was over. I met Daniel when I logged out. We walked home.

"So do you have a place?" I asked, "Not that I don't want you, just asking."

"I have one, but it's not, the best. I'm trying to sell it and look for another."

"Do you want to stay with me while you look?"

"That would be great!"

"So do you want to go home to get some stuff?"

"Yeah, it's actually not that far from here I'll walk."

"But, your carrying all that stuff. I'll come and help."

We walked to his place and he grabbed some clothes. He grabbed a pillow and a blanket, and we would come back to get more tomorrow, we were planning to borrow a vehicle from work.

"Do you want to do something tonight?" Daniel asked as we were getting close to the building.

"Want to go eat? It doesn't have to be special."

"Sure."

We went to eat at a local restaurant, that wasn't too fancy. Once we got home we just went to bed. In the morning I woke up early like usual. I went to see if Daniel was awake and of course he wasn't. I got dressed and got ready for work. I walked into the kitchen and saw that one of the windows were open, but I live on the 5 floor! I know it was closed last night! The couch was crooked and everything was a wreck! I ran to a kitchen drawer to grab a pistol, I don't really need it, but why use powers if you don't need to. As I opened the drawer someone put their hand over my mouth and pulled my head so I would face them. The person had a skull mask on.

I made myself feel limb. He started to pull something out of a bag when I quickly kicked him in the stomach. I tried to run, but he tripped me. While I was down he went to grab the pistol. As he was I ran to Daniel's room. Right when I walked through the door I ran into another guy with a skull mask. It must have been him I saw earlier and not Daniel! He grabbed me and took me to the other guy.

"You see I've always been on my grandfather's side." The first one said.

I looked away making him think that I gave up. He grabbed my face and made me look at him, "I want revenge on the people who killed him."

Once he said that I knew he was targeting S.H.I.E.L.D, so I broke free. I kicked the gun out of the first guy's hands and slammed his head on the counter. I punched the other guy in the face and ran. I got out the door and to the stairs. They were both running after me. I jumped down skipping a flight of stairs. I looked up and they weren't far behind. I started running again, but once I did one of the guys started taking shots at me! I could use my powers, but I don't have them under control and I didn't have time! I kept running, but the shooter hit me in the leg. I fell down the stairs and they caught up to me. Before I knew it one of them hit me in the head with the gun, knocking me out.

I know this chapter is pretty long and it has a lot of action and just a lot to take in. I just thought that it was about time for some fighting. So tell me what you think! What is your favorite part so far, what you think of Daniel, anything, just comment!
