I'll never be ready to say goodbye.

Chapter 7

YOUR POV
Sunlight stings your eyes , you rub them with your hands and squint at your surroundings.
"Shit!" , You say realising you and Finn both fell asleep.
Quietly , you tiptoe off the couch , being careful not to wake him and see your mum in the kitchen making pancakes.
"So you're awake" She says , chuckling.
"I'm s-so sorry mum." You stammer "Nothing happened , I promise. We just fell asleep."
"It's fine Ebony" , she laughs "He's a nice boy , I know he wouldn't do anything like that."
"Thanks mum , you're the best" , you hug and start to eat the pancake mixture.
"How can you eat that?" It's Finn , his hair is messy from just waking up and his face seems like it's glowing in the sun.
"Good morning Finn!" Says your mum.
"I'm so sorry w-"
"It's fine Finn , you're welcome here anytime."
"Thankyou" He grins.
"No who wants pancakes" Shouts your mum , laughing as you and Finn stand up in unison.
"I'm gonna flip mine!" You yell , Finn and your mum look at you and then at each other.
You take the pan and launch your pancake into the air , it comes crashing down and splatters onto the floor beside you. You frown at your now destroyed pancake whilst both Finn and your mum cry with laughter.
"Goddamn it!" You cry and scrape the pancake off the floor and into the trash
"Let me serve the pancakes." Your mum says grabbing the pan off you.
"Please do" Says Finn and you find yourself laughing with him.

About half an hour passes and your mum is leaving to meet up with Andrea. She kisses you on the head and says goodbye to Finn. Once she shuts the door you burst out laughing.
"What is it?" Asks Finn.
"My mum let a boy sleep over!" You shout "I can't believe it!"
"Must be my charm" He winks.
"Don't ever wink again. Please , for my sake."
"Trust me , I won't. It felt weird." He laughs.
You both sit in silence for a while , just enjoying each others company and procrastinating having to leave.
"Hey Ebony , I have this friend called Noah and I was wondering if you wanted to come round to his place with me later on today?" Asks Finn.
"Of course , I'd love to"
"Okay well I'm gonna have to go and get ready but I can pick you up outside here in an hour , is that okay?" He says standing up.
"Perfect"
You walk him to the door and he gives you a hug.
"See you later" He says.
You wave goodbye and close the door.
"Just an hour to get ready" , you think "Fuck!"
So you walk over to your room and see a text from Maria.
It reads "How did it go I need details now"
You laugh and text back "Perfect"
"I said details"
"Wanna ft whilst I get ready then?" You reply.
"Ready for what?" She asks.
"To go out with Finn again"
"YES IM CALLING YOU NOW"
