Chapter 5

"Well hello there Charlotte, long time

no see."

"And I had planned to keep that way." I

heard myself reply to the obnoxious

boy sitting next to me.

"Awe Char don't be that way," said

Connor with a smirk on his annoyingly

handsome face. "You know you can't

resist me is why bother trying?"

I practically had steam coming out of

my ears by the time he had finished his

last comment but I decided that it

would be best to just keep quiet unless

I wanted to end up in detention on my

first day back for the year.

But luck was not on my side today

throughout the rest of the lesson

Connor had felt the need to poke me

with his pencil, through pieces of paper

at me, and not to mention all the dirty

comments he kept whispering in my

ear. By the time that the 45 minutes of

class time were over I was about ready

to kill the boy sitting next to me.

Finally, the bell rang and I practically

jumped out of my seat and then ran to

the door to get rid of Connor. Just as I

walked out the door I heard Connor

shout, "I'll see you tomorrow science

partner!"

I wanted to scream when I hear that

knowing I will have to deal with

Connor every school day for the rest of

year.

The rest of the day passed by in a blur

letters and numbers as I tried to adjust

to school again. Then, the day was over

and I was waiting for my mom to pick

me up from the school parking lot to

take me home.
