It is already past 11 and the event will likely start in less than 45minutes. The house is well decorated, music blasting on.
I heard a faint knock and the doorknob turned signaling someone is coming in without waiting for my permission. This is really annoying.
Amira came in
"Wai yanxu ma kike stretching kanki??? Whats wrong with you Ruks? Kinfiso azo atamana fada abi?" Amira said walking towards me holdingone of my suitcases
"Ke abeg 10times akeso na rabu ne? Free me abeg" i said
"Here" handing me the suitcase
"Ajiye can gurin let me finish with this" i said
"Yi sauri abeg let me apply something light on your face" she said walking to my closet
"Amira don't even start please, you are not applying anything on my face and that's final" i said leaving no room for her rants
"Okay" she said not looking at me
"Do whatever you will do but kekaam barni ahaka" i said
"Ki kyaleni Ruks before i change my mind" she said in a warning tone

I got dressed in my iro and buba ankara dress with my red and yellow Lapaya. Paired with my Zara flat flops. Amira, Aisha and zeey all dressed. Waiting for the permission to leave.
After some few minutes
Aunty Salma peeped "kufito"
"Okay" we answered
As we head to where the event is organized, the mc announced our arrival, and the dj played ada ada as we walk to our seats.
Traditionally during this event, the masu kidan kwarya are invited instead of mc and dj. But amira and zeey being yan chasu preferred dj so mama allowed them to have their way.
The elders of the family rub a small amount of lalle (henna paste) on the brides hands and legs giving their blessings, followed by the mothers and aunts of both the groom and bride's side. After giving their blessings, she'll be bathed with milk and mixture of different perfumes by the eldest of the both families.

Later in the evening, I, amira, aisha, zee, and few cousins of mine having our dinner and chatting. Admiring their henna designs as i am thinking about ya sadeeq. This guy didn't even call me today. Unknowingly he just dialed my number. boom my phone started ringing and everyone's attention turned to me. I didn't have the courage to pick the call having this eyes on me. So i excused my self and left for my room.
"Assalamu Alaikum" as i picked
"Waalaikumul salam amarya" he answered
"How are you?" he asked
"Alhamdulillah, How's everything over there?"
"Good"
"Karki ga ban kiraki ba, i was damn busy ne" he said

Next day: Parents Evening
12:49pm "You guys need to wake up, its almost to 1" aisha announced cheerfully making everyone in the room groan in annoyance, because we all slept late. Little did she know i was awake almost an hour ago. "Oh good, you are awake" she said approaching me" "I brought your clothes for this evening, it looks hot, astonishing and perfect" "I can't wait to see you wearing it, sadeeq will almost die" she continued
Aisha kept the bag she came in with on the couch next to me before approaching me "Ruks are you okay? You look disturbed" she asked worriedly.
"Am okay" I answered smiling
"You know i am always there right?"
"A'i do you think ya sadeeq will love me? Do you think i made the right decision of saying yes? Do you think ......"
"Wooohhh calm down will you? InShaa Allah everything will be alright. Just keep praying InShaa Allah its the best"
