Chapter Five

Percy

  The weekend went by far too quickly. Before I knew it, it was Monday morning. Over the weekend after the pool I got to know everyone better. I talked to Jason, Piper, and Leo a lot about how they ended up here. Then I hung around Frank, Reyna, and Hazel for awhile, they all liked to help out and support sports around the school. I also got to study with Annabeth for a bit and my mom and I talked over the phone.

And so I groaned as I made my way out of my bathroom. Why some idiot decided to make school so early was beyond me.

I got dressed and grabbed my book bag before heading out the door of my dorm. Jason had already left, as he usually does in the mornings. I was now familiar with his routine along with a few of the others.

Making it to class just on time, I sat down and began to go through my notes trying to pay attention to the lesson.

-Time skip because I can :P -

"I'm going to see Green Day in concert, I bet you bitches wish you were me!" Thalia exclaimed while running down the sidewalk excitingly.

Nico's head dart up and his eyes widened in shock. Thalia and I both seemed to notice this, she grinned and Nico glanced at me and then back at Thalia. He looked like he wanted to say something.

"Actually," Thalia gave us all a smug look. "I have two other tickets."

"I will kill you in your sleep if you don't take me." Nico said with no emotion, which only made his claim scarier. Plus I think that's the longest sentence I've ever heard him speak.

"In my sleep? That's a little soft."

Nico scowled and while Leo shoved his hands in his pockets as he walked.

"I don't see why you guys all obsess over bands and celebrities, I get that they're hot and all but I still don't get it. I listen to all the old classical stuff, most of my favorite musical artists are dead."

For once Nico actually looked interested in the topic. I had already previously realized that he seemed more open around Reyna, Hazel, and Jason but neither of them were here at the moment. Not to mention, a lot of times he seemed cold towards Thalia.

"Personally I like the Beatles, oh and Match Box Twenty." I said.

"The Beatles are great, but I mainly like Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, and The Ramones." Nico said.

"Oh I love the Ramones, and the Rolling Stones." Leo interjected.

"No way, you and I can't like the same bands." Nick said shaking his head in disbelief.

"Do you like AC/DC? The Smiths?"

"No fucking way." Nico breathed.

I laughed and Nico only seemed to shrink a little more.

"Anyway, who ever earns this ticket gets to go see Green Day with me." Thalia said entering the dormitories. We all followed her in.

Thalia was about to turn towards her door when she noticed someone standing in front of it.

A girl with long frizzy orange hair that was tucked behind a blue head band stood there with her red suit case. She wore tattered blue jeans with paint splatters and a simple green t shirt that complimented her bright eyes.

"Uh, Hi. Can any of you tell me where this room is?" She handed Thalia the paper she was holding and Thalia looked back up at her with a welcoming smile.

"You are my new roommate."

"Oh, well I guess it's lucky I ran into you. My name's Rachel."

Thalia shook her hand. "I'm Thalia. Welcome to The Academy. This is Percy, Leo, and Nico."

Leo and I waved.

Thalia and Rachel began to engage in conversation and they walked into their room.

"Well I've got to go. And you two better be prepared, I will win Thalia's trust and get those tickets." Said Leo.

"Why?" I asked. "You already stated you weren't that interested."

"I like the competition, plus, Thalia's hot."

"Well Nico and I-"

I looked over and Nico was gone, like he had faded into the shadows. "Huh."

"Yeah Nico gives me the creeps. Anyway, gotta fly. And may the best man win!" Leo ran off and I was left alone in the hallway.

I went back into my room and laid down on my bed. My ADHD was making it hard for me take a little power nap but I relaxed a little after taking a melatonin gummy. I wondered if Rachel would be accepted into my new friend group. I drifted off dreaming of a certain blond with stormy grey eyes and of a girl with fiery red hair.

Wow so this sucked, and sorry that this update is super fucking late. I'm a little off my game so I apologize for any misspelling, grammar, or book mistake.
