Chapter Three

Percy

   Lunch rolled around, and I stood stupidly in the cafeteria holding my tray, unsure of where to sit. The firmilar feeling of anxiety began, but before I could get too panicked, Leo clasped a hand onto my shoulder making me jump.

"Hey man, come sit with us."

I nodded and followed him to the back of the lunch room, a table full of laughing people and firmilar faces made me feel better. I saw Annabeth and grinned, I overcame my social awkwardness and strolled over to the only vacant seat that was across from her.

"Wise girl." I greeted.

"Oh, what a pleasant surprise seaweed brain." Annabeth smirked.

"So I'm assuming you met Annie." Said Jason.

"Yeah, Leo and I have him first period Geometry." Annabeth said before taking a bite of her salad. "And don't call me Annie."

"I guess we should introduce you to everyone else." Frank said. I nodded.

"You already know me, Jason, Leo, and Annabeth." Frank informed. "And then this is Hazel," He hugged the girl next to him. She had dark skin and short fluffy black hair that was pulled back into a bun. Her eyes seemed to shine golden. "My girlfriend."

"Nice to me you Hazel, I'm Percy." She smiles back.
"Nice to met you too Percy."

"And then this is Piper, she's in charge of the school's newspaper." He motioned to a girl with tan skin and feathers in her hair. She waved and I waved back.

"And then there's Thalia, Reyna, and Nico."

Thalia was older than the rest of us and she was Jason's sister, as I soon learned. She had choppy uneven black hair, and she seemed kind of goth but in a good way. ?¿? Idk

Reyna was a boxer, and she had long black hair tied into a braid. Reyna was super tough but she seemed kind of uncomfortable around Jason.

And then there was Nico. He was Hazels half brother. He looked like he hadn't slept in months, and he was the youngest of the group besides Hazel. He had a big aviator jacket and wore skinny ripped black jeans and a skull T-shirt instead of the school's uniform. His black hair was messy and the bags under his eyes just made his glare seem scarier.

"Jason, Hazel, and Reyna make him sit with us. He usually just wants to sit alone." Leo whispered informing me. "He creeps me out."

I nodded, he seemed a little dark.

"So, Percy. Where are you from?" Reyna asked.

"I'm from New York, Manhattan." I answered.

"Cool, I'm from California, so are Jason and Piper."

"I'm from New Orleans." Hazel said. 

"Houston Texas baby." Leo grinned.
