Its diffrent type of oneshot its kinda of a fluffy/cute/sad- ish its for a firend of my who just found out that he was addopted :3 and hes down in the dump so me and @Merome123 both worked on this oneshot for our oneshot books i hope you enjoy!
Mitch's pov
We sat there in the kitchen thinking about our sweet daughter "biggums I have about 10 more minuets" my husband Jerome said I sighed and looked at him sadly "we have to think if something... Ashley was telling me that when we both leave she stands by the door crying" I said on the brink if tears myself Jerome looked shocked and looked down I took a deep breath "Jerome she's doubting that we love her" I said crying Jerome gasped softly then growled slamming his fists on the table.
I looked down crying I felt Jerome hug me tightly and kissed the top my my head "biggums we will figure this out" Jerome said softly I nod and kiss his cheek.
"dad... daddy?" We both look over and see Betty standing there in a light blue shirt and white shorts I smile and Jerome chuckles "you woke up from your nap" I smiled she nod and ran up to both of us and gave us a hug.
"Do you guys have to work" she said softly with a bit of sadness in her voice I looked at Jerome and he looked down at Betty "I will but daddy has to go" I said quickly Betty's eyes got big and hugged me and Jerome and ran off giggling and laughing upstairs.
"Mitch can you do that?" Jerome said softly I look at Jerome and nod "yeah I can take a sick day" I said Jerome nods and kisses my forehead "we will think of something" Jerome said kissing me sweetly and standing up just as Betty came down hugging Jerome tightly "I love you daddy" she giggles Jerome picks her up and hugs her tightly "I love you too princes see you when I get home" Jerome said kissing her forehead and setting her down and went over to me and kisses me sweetly. "See you later babe" Jerome said as he walked out the door.
Betty giggled and ran upstairs I chuckled and followed I stopped when I heard the piano being played I smiled 'I guess those piano lessons payed off' I thought I was about to walk in when I heard her sing "flowers bloom a love is born two hearts collide" she sang sweetly.
I knock and she stops and screams "Don't come in here!" I chuckle "alright" I say as she runs out to hug me "mommy can we play tea party?" I chuckle and nod she giggles and runs downstairs and I smile and follow we walk down to her play room and walk into the mini kitchen we had build down there and make some tea and grab some cupcakes from the fridge and put it on a tray.
Betty comes running in a ruby blue dress with a crown I smile as she hands me a bigger crown "thank you princess" I say smiling I grab the things and sit on the small table "Mommy I'm glad you could spend time with me" Betty smiles as she poured tea in my cup if just broke my heart "I wish daddy could have stayed too" she said sadly I sighed and grabbed her hand "baby you know we work because we wanna make sure you get everything you never did..?" I said softly she nods "I know" she smiles handing me a cupcake.
"Baby do you know what day is coming up?" I smiled drinking a bit if my tea she giggles and nods "adoption day Mommy you think i would forget?" She giggles taking a bite of her cupcake, I chuckled and shake my head "No but i was wondering if your going to do something special since this is going to be your fourth year being adopted" I say softly Betty giggles and stands running upstairs.
I sat there confused i could hear her go to her room and grabbing something then running back downstairs i see the portable piano that we bought her on her second adaption day she fixed it so that she could play it standing up she took a deep breath " I wrote a song" She said as she played the notes i heard earlier and played a bit more "If you ever feel a thorn i'll be there by your side" She said as she played a bit more sweeter "Nothing will ever hurt you, I'll keep you safe" she sang as she was smiling and looking at me.
She stops and runs up to me and hugs me "Its a song about you and daddy and me" I she says happily and i smile and hug her tightly "And you and daddy get to be in it" She giggles"you and daddy get to dance while i sing and play the piano she giggles i smile and kiss her cheek she giggles and yawns. "Is the princess tired?" I smiled she giggles and nods i take her tiara off and pick her up she cuddle into me.
i smile and take her to her room and lay her down and tuck her in and kiss her forehead and close her door and walk to my room and get changed, I climb into bed and slowly fall asleep.
~~Time skip~~
I woke up to My side and saw Jerome fast asleep i smile and bring Jerome closer and kiss his lips Jerome wakes up and kisses back "How was your night with Betty?" He said sleepily "It was ok, she was real happy i stayed" i smiled and kissed his cheek "Shes making a song for adoption day" I say making me and Jerome smile.
Betty runs in and jumps on our bed "Did you tell him?!" She giggles i chuckle and nod she grabs both of our hands and makes me and Jerome get off the bed "Come on then we need to go and practice!" She giggles we both laugh and get up Jerome grabbing Betty and we walk down to the living room.
No ones POV
All three of them practice for days on days Betty would play as Mitch and Jerome would practice there dancing and when the big day. and when the big day came Betty and even Mitch and Jerome were nervous.
there were thousands of kids and adults who were all adopted from around the world who came to this event, everyone sat down by the stage one by one kid from all ages started to preform something with there adopted siblings or there parents.
Betty sat there all scared and nervous Jerome saw the nervousness and hugged his daughter.
"Up next is Betty Robert Hughes Aceti with her two dads Jerome Robert Aceti and Michelle Donald Ralph Aceti" The announcer said Betty giggled and got up and ran to the the stage and looked at Jerome and Mitch.
Jerome's POV
Betty ran to the stage and took the mic from the announcer and looked at me and Mitch happily "Hi my name is Betty I'm 10 years old when I was 6 my mom and dad died in a plane crash and I survived" she said looking down "I lost some of my memories so I can only remember some things about them.. Like my moms dark blue eyes" she smiles "and my dad always throwing me up in the air" she giggled making everyone else smile and chuckles "I was put in foster since I didn't have other family, everyone made fun if me because of my memory loss and u got real sad" she said sighing "but one day two guys came walking hand in hand" she smiles looking at me and Mitch.
"They said they were looking for a cute little girl and all the other girls were saying that they wouldn't want me so I just sat by the swings alone" she sighed almost crying me and Mitch were about to get up when she giggles and smiles,
"But my mommy or Mitch came up to me and kneeled down next to me and smiled kindly at me and I knew and they knew that we belong. Together" she giggled and jumped "now I'm 10 and I'm real happy, even though they work a lot" she giggles and runs to the piano she giggles and starts playing slowly.
Me and Mitch stand slowly and walk to the stage and played as we slowly start to dance to the music.
As she played me and Mitch felt together as one.
As she stopped playing me and Mitch kissed and better ran up to us and hug the both of us everyone was cheering and clapping happily I kissed Betty's cheek and Mitch does the same.
The rest of adoption day was fun for us and everyone by the end if the night Betty fell asleep we get home and we both tuck Betty into bed and kiss her forehead, Mitch and I head to bed and cuddle each other "I love you" I smile kissing him sweetly Mitch blushes and giggles "I love you too and I'm glad Betty had fun at adoption day" Mitch says sleepily "I'm glad we could spend time together as a family" I say kissing Mitch, he nods and cuddles into me I smile and kiss him sweetly as we fall asleep.
