Chapter One

146's POV
I Woke up in a white room, with two other girls in white bodysuits sitting on the floor. Of course, I knew this place. I had been in it for 13 years. It is the Orb, where all children stay until they are 13. Of course, you are placed with two others of your gender. The Orb is pure white, with no furniture, No windows, and a few White Lights. I got up from the floor, and realized something.
It was today I was to see "This" for the first time! The day that I would be assigned my name, my best friend, my worst enemy, my hobbies, my dislikes, my likes, my family, and my job. Today would decide if I was to have a great life, or a....a...what is the word? I was never taught a word to describe it. You see, each child is assigned a Mentor, a teacher, to teach them about the laws, the customs, the ideas, and the ways of "This". Their Mentors were also their Mothers. My Mother was kind, but I never spoke to her. We were not allowed to speak. I would also be given my necklace, which would be my key to my home, the food facility, where everyday, depending on what day it was, you would eat the type of food assigned to that day, and the building in which my job is.
I heard a Noise, the sound of the almost invisible door of the orb opening. A Man in a white suit spoke to us in a deep voice.
"The Train Has Arrived To Take you To the Assignment Facility."
My Companions, 145 and 147, and I all walked to the door in an orderly manner, and stepped outside to see a bigger branch of the orb, with a train waiting for its passengers in the middle of the station.
My first Place to see out of The Orb..
I thought, Smiling as we boarded the train. Little did I know that my life was about to get a whole lot more exciting.
