                                                                                          Cassandra's POV
The Apprentice started to speak again.
"First Order Of Business," He stared at his papers. I got a glimpse of one of them, It was blank.
"In Lab 18, we have discovered that the human mind will act on impulse,"
What is a Lab? What do they Mean? I thought quizzically.
"And in Lab 20, we have discovered that you can dye skin any color with the right materials, courtesy of Beatrice, Number 23, Who was taken to the lab on Assignment Facility Day this year because she slowed and slouched on the train."
Everyone Gasped, I heard whispers,
"Why would somebody Slow Down?"
"And Slouch! It was right that child was taken to the lab."
That was the child that stumbled and slouched on the train! I still do not understand this "Lab" stuff...
I whispered to Alyssa.
"What is a Lab, and what does the Apprentice mean?"
She whispered back,
"You don't know? You must be a noob, oh wait, You are! Well, Because I'm SOOOOOOO Generous And Kind, I shall tell you."
She took a deep breath, and started to speak.
"The Labs are places where they take people who have done something wrong, or have committed a mistake. You know "That"? Well, In "that", there are a thousand labs, where people who disobey go to help human kind. We make discoveries about the human mind and body there. Once you are in a Lab, it is impossible to get out. Nobody has ever escaped. I mean, who would want to? There is nothing in "That" and you cannot come back to "This". Maybe you should go to a Lab, Noob."
The Apprentice started to speak again.
"We have also made a discovery that we can give a human the power to become invisible. The side effects are being short tempered, the subject can become unconscious, and uncontrollable at times. This discovery was made by Samantha, Previously Number 16, Who was found inside the orb, dancing and singing some absurd tune. A guard took her. She was only 8 at the time. It has been a year, and she is 9. She is still thriving, unlike many of our other subjects."
I was aghast at this. How could they do such inhumane things? I must speak to Jenna- But I cannot speak to my enemy- Or Vanessa, Or even Alyssa about this.
The Apprentice started to speak again.
"Well, That is all. Next meeting is tomorrow. We will discuss how much humans can carry without dying,"
The Apprentice banged his gavel again.
"Meeting Dismissed!"
We shuffled out of the building. I did not speak while I was in the elevator. I was still thinking about the things I had heard.
But, Why? These people are hurt every day! It is not fair. I must speak to Jenna. I don't care if I am not suppose to talk to my enemy, I must tell her.
And with that, I walked out of the building.
