Don't miss salah for the sake of people. You were born alone, and you will die alone; you'll go to the grave alone and be questioned alone on Judgement Day. So never compromise deen for the sake of people.
It's not wrong to have friends and close people; the meaning is don't rely on people too much, and don't put aside your religion for people because, on Judgement Day, you are on your own.
