The books were written in a very distant elven dialect. Only father had the patience to read these because it was written in a way where you could lose days just to understand one page properly. He got consumed into it as no one aside him could read the books and it scared Dokeb as he saw his best friend spend the best of his life on what seemed like a waste of time for anyone not completely delusional. Day after day, after week, after month... It literally ate him deaf, it ate him bitter and patience less. He did not want to hear anyone anymore when he was reading his books. Dokeb could not believe reading could become hazardous to anyone's health, but Edega would barely even take the time to eat or do anything else such as managing the troops. He was walking around with the book to his face and brushed anyone off when they spoke to him, it became an addiction but Dokeb could not face him about it. The now legendary series of book was commonly called the "Eldoran's book of nations" and those would be the only thing in father's life for more than a hundred year. He first looked at them with a curious but careful eye and before he knew it, he became devoted to them, even addicted, in bad, bad way.

It took most of his young years before he finally benefited of its powers. The risk was big, but he gained the ability to create new life forms, crafting his first real life new race took him thirty five years, but the first tries we all failures that died almost immediately. Failure after failure, he perfected his product and he come up with his masterpiece, the Cashmyrs. They started to multiply on diamond island and would have free will.

Edega at that moment expressed that he "won" the bet that he had with Dokeb about becoming the first ruler of a land. Dokeb had never accepted the "victory" because his followers were not born with "free will". Edega honored his friend by standing down and "admitting" that he had not won. He told Dokeb that if he wanted to be king too, that they could rule together. Father could not bear to see his friend be jealous and he gave him half of his share of glory like an actual adult, no compromise...

He had his best friend live like a king for many years and as they left Diamond island the first time to explore the world together again, Dokeb felt guilty as he knew he lost the bet and promised father another kingdom they could rule together when he would take it over with his persuasion skills. Dokeb knew he had the talent to rule a kingdom since he had studied that matter being the nephew of a high aristocrat in the capital of the Marula territory in Grand grotto. Sooner or later he promised father that he would allow him the same rights that he had received from him forever. Edega got greedy and said that if ever Dokeb got to be ruler of any nation, that he would take over as he had the knowledge to do so anyways.

Edega and Dokeb had their first big fight onthat subject, a fight that had them not as close ever again anymore. Dokeb knewhe would give everything to be ruler too, but handing everything to my fatherseemed like "beyond a scam" as my mother kept saying to me when she told me thestory, clearly thinking about him. She liked to talk about her close crowd alot, but she would always tell stories about my father, pretty much every day. This was the story of today, and she always had a new story since birth.

Edega and Dokeb would never be as close anymore. This is how insane today'sstory was. Both wanting to say they owned each other and it would result in oneof them dying.
