We were dismissed about an hour later again and we stayed in this city for a few weeks getting ready to leave. Rectis and I had the same reflex to study out of her library as she seemed to enjoy us being in her private quarters. If I have said that my mom was one of the oldest goddess alive, well, apparently Vassymha is one of the rare older goddess I can think of so far. She has so much knowledge, I have been learning for weeks now and I feel like I'm not as smart as I thought I was...
Like Vassymha says often:
"The more you think you know, the less you realize you know... But the more you know that you do not know, it is only then, that you get to the first gate of knowledge... This saying is very confusing at first, but when you think about it for a while, it really does make sense."
Out of sentences like that, I cannot wait to meet other sages like Tweeclu, the anciant grandmaster on the outside crust. He was leading the expedition back then to escape abyssal demons and also to find a better, more peaceful place to live. He is now the god of the anciants in the new region on the outer crust. He had been a close friend of Vassymha but she did not want to follow him... Or rather, she could not, because of her matriarch's responsibilities.
She knew her people needed her here and mumbled while explaining how it went, with a tear trying to reach her cheek, that she was ripped in two by the duty she had towards her people and her personal love for him. She knew she probably never was going to see him again when he left but she still did what she had to do... She then admitted to me in private that death with him would probably have been smarter than the hell she endured here in Grand grotto ever since. She handed me a small box and asked me to deliver it to Tweeclu when I saw him...
Stories like that make me emotional. Actual care... Actual love... It is so beautiful. I closed my eyes and held the box when she gave it to me. I wanted time to freeze right here, I am so mentally exhausted but I have to go on with the story. (Please, take a moment for your self to breathe, and think about your life... What you were, what you have become, and where you are heading before reading more...)
While in this wonderful underground palace, I also had a nice time exchanging with another god about arbitrary matter, her best friend Briaweli, the antity of peaceful domination. He always loved Vassymha but was (and still is) apparently too shy to tell her it. Mostly because she seemed to be still in love with Tweeclu, but also because he knows that she heard people tell her about his own passion towards her and that she did not mention anything about that to him, so he wished to keep the awkward reality away from their relationship, maybe forever. I wonder if they will get together at some point......
I barely had a day with Briaweli, he seemed really interesting but we were late on schedule and he had sadly been busy until then. We needed to go to the city of Singki, where Lucides the goddess of seeing was waiting for us. Lucides was going to send us by boat toward the south gate of our moon.
On our way there, I realized that our angel librarian was smart and delicate, but very strong physically at the same time as she bared a mirror supreme sword. It looked very heavy but she would swing it with ease to my greatest surprise. The situations came where we needed to fight and she was not shy at all to swing her heavy sword around. Of course she could have let the troops handle it but she wanted to show herself useful to our army.
We moved with urge and got to our destination faster then expected. The region where Lucides lived was all ice. It was the first time I could actually feel ice on my fingertips in my life. I knew what it was, water that was solid from temperature being lower than 0 degree Celsius. But actually feeling it with my own hands was different from just words read in books and imagination. It was uncomfortable but as I will learn later, at least there was no wind here. The uncomfortable variant was manageable.
I was happy to see her capital into the horizon and knew it was going to be comfortable inside the walls.
When we got there, it literally took only an hour to get to meet Lucides but she seemed fairly busy. She said that even though the north gate was closer from here than the south one, we where going to have more trouble if we went by "that exit"...
She would call her boots "skates" (they had blades underneath, I thought they looked funny). She said people on the outside also skated, so we might need to learn how to do the same to travel faster on ice according to her.
We gave it a try for a few days but the Cashmyrs (including myself) and other races we had in our group were really clumsy with skates on and most of us abandoned the idea of learning since we all knew most of the traveling was going to be on solid ground anyway.
The hardest part about being in this place was by far the cold. We all hated it over here due to the lack of comfort and we all really wanted to leave, fast.
Oh I almost forgot ... Over here in Grand grotto, there is two gods I wanted to find but was not able to.
So I will ask you guys please to gather data on them, The names are Tereu the great one (a black horse) and the holy Kasal (A white Pegasus). If anyone comes upon them, please write down as much data as possible and publish your writings... Thank you friends.
Sincerely yours ......... Debagiis ... The god of language ............
