Writer's Interview:

1. How long have you been writing?

1. I have been writing for quite a long time. I used to write my own version of an evil fox and a smart bunny as bedtime stories for my younger siblings. Then after being discouraged, I stopped only to start writing fanfics when I was in 6th grade. Those sucked, I tell you. Now I'm a sophomore with two completed books and other works.

2. What made you want to be a writer?

2. I always had loved reading and somewhere along the line, I wanted to become a writer. I love writing, always have.

3. How did you discover Wattpad?

 3. I discovered WattPad through my cousin sister and I'm very grateful. It was just a place to read stories until it became something more.

4. Where do you gain inspiration?

4. I don't know, but I'm someone who's constantly struck by self-doubt. To fight that, I write my stories completely before posting them. Long process but it makes me avoid unpublishing no matter how discouraged I become.

5.What genre do you usually write?

5. Right now, short story. I'm working on Teen Fic, SciFi, Fantasy and Spiritual. I want to dabble in everything.

6. What genre do you read the most?

 6. I read sci-fi and fantasy. In fact, the first ever young adult book I read was Harry Potter. My parents may have regretted me reading it but yeah, Potterhead for life.

7. How do you think your writing impacts you?

7. When I'm proud of my work, which is almost never, I am happier. I get a positive outlook on life, feel like I can handle any curveballs life decides to chuck my way. It's my sanctuary, my normal.

8. How do you get over writer's block?

 8. I take a break, try to work out different angles, do some research or just leave it for a while.

9. Nicest comment you've received?

 9. I don't really receive feedback but once after my cousin finished reading 'Remember Me' she demanded that I make the guy divorce his wife and marry the protagonist. That may sound weird out of context, but the fact that someone cared enough about my character and the people in her life made me very happy. It's a wonderful feeling.

10. Any advice for your possible new followers?

 10. Write, write if you feel to but work hard on it. It's not a piece of cake. And if you're planning to read my works, please don't be a ghost. I don't bite, I swear.

So a few of my other admins and I came to a similar conclusion when it came to the formatting style. I've only read one other book that was in this almost script-dialogue format but adding the small doses of dialogue tags and the bits of emotional words here and there enhanced the writing that was already there--unlike the others I have seen. However, I'd like to see a little more writing in some parts, just to clarify who's talking and who's doing what. A lot of the time in books like this it's almost "sim"- like, meaning I only see them standing in blank space rather than doing human things. The writer does add in environment descriptions and such, it's not just dialogue don't get me wrong, but it's very brief and sometimes you forget where the characters are again. It's incredibly difficult to pull of minimalistic writing such as this and make an impactful story. Even though what I read is good on many levels, I wanted to see a little more than an almost dialogue-only story. However, I thought the face claims, the storyline, and the overall book as a whole was well done. I loved the interactions between the characters. It created amazing personalities to them individually as you read, and that's something big in this type of storytelling. Character development is hard to pull off in a regular sized book, and Bookloverfath pulled it off very well for what she had written. I enjoyed every minute of it and hope to see more of her future books.

One of the things I first noticed was how it was written. It's not like regular books, it's more like, play-written, I guess I would put it. It's an overall good story, engaging, keeps the reader on its toes, but I find the lack of actual words to be confusing once in a while. Sometimes with just the dialogue, it was hard to tell who was talking when it came to the characters sometimes, it was muddy in some sections if that makes sense. If there were more words between the dialogue, then it wouldn't have been so confusing to me. It's just my personal opinion, but I'd like to see some more writing out of this book. It's a good story when you get past the borderline-script format, but sometimes you don't read the emotions or even generally know what the characters look like besides the way they talk. I see a few stories like this on Wattpad, but none as engaging as this one. Even though I didn't particularly enjoy how it was more script-like, the characters personalities were very-well written though just the dialogue. I give props for the writer for being able to pull it off.

One of my favorite things while reading this book was the overall look. The format was aesthetically pleasing to me and I personally loved it, unlike my fellow readers. You take in an incredible amount of consideration in how you format the book and you can tell there's some work behind it. From the cover to the words, to the feeling you get while reading it, I loved every inch of it. I also loved the faceclaims for the characters. In my personal opinion it was a swell story, maybe a little bit on the script side, but overall great. I'd recommend this story wholeheartedly, I really enjoyed reading about Seb and Gray, and maybe I'll delve into the author's other books if I got the time.
