Infinite Possibilities (Rick Sanchez x Reader)

Summary

A fanfiction about an above average but still not overpowered character. Funny (hopefully) and justa few hints of feels just like the show.

Not your average touchy feely Rick and Morty fanfiction. Reader isn't a genius who had there PhD at age 12 who's whole family is dead and whose life only sucks that's total bullshit that I won't write. But there life is shit, cuz I'm writing from my experiences yo.

Buckle the fuck up.

Writer's Interview:

1. How long have you been writing?

Hard question to answer. I've been writing for as long as I can remember. I think when I distinctly remember writing my first fictional piece, I was in the sixth grade and it was about myself, traveling back in time to save Abraham Lincoln. I found that paper awhile ago and read it to laugh at myself and even at such a young age I had some kind of need to make things deeper. The story ended by me coming back to the present, seeing that nothing around me had changed. The story ended something like "I saw nothing had changed. Maybe that was better. Or maybe you can't just change time". I was like 11 and I was searching for a friggin deeper meaning in a kids story. I've always just written since then, though usually just for myself.

2. What made you want to be a writer?

I was good at it? I'm not really sure. I just started writing poetry, and again; the Abraham Lincoln story, and my teachers would always praise my writing skills and the emotion I wrote in it. I've always found my fanfiction writing not as good, because the deeper meaning really became what I craved in my writing. I mean it gets there when the story is more fleshed out, but I always end up quitting my stories by a chapter in, since no one ever reads them. Anyways, I guess the reason I'm into writing now is because I never have an intention when I start; I just go for it and then find something else about myself through it.

3. How did you discover Wattpad?

Originally, I found out about it through my friend, senpai, who read a lot of 1D fanfics on here. I didn't really get into it though, until my friend Katherine asked me to read some of her stuff.

4. Where do you gain inspiration?

Sort of nowhere. That's kind of why I write inconsistently. I write when I have the inspiration, and when it's there, there isn't really a reason why. Occasionally I'll write from emotion, but that would be my poetry, which I've only published one of, and that's on DeviantArt.

5. What genre do you usually write?

I like sci-fi. It's got a lot of scientific material and fact that's usable, and you also have a lot you can make up. It's just kind of the best genre to write in if you want your own universe.

6. Which genre do you read the most?

I guess slice of life or supernatural? I read a lot of things with demons and witches, but also just casual real life stories. The thing I really read are Hetalia reader inserts. Don't judge me..

7. How do you think your writing impacts you?

It makes me feel accomplished, you know? Like I've really created something. I love love the feeling I get after writing, like I've done something great. That's often why I don't publish things. Having no one read or like your work destroys that feeling and makes your writing feel worthless.

8. How do you get over writer's block?

I don't. Sometimes I can help get through it by watching one of my favourite shows or listening to instrumentals.

9. Nicest comment you've received?

Just something generic like "Nice, I like this" At least on here, anyways. On DA my poem for flooded with feedback about how meaningful my writing was. I don't know. No one likes my stuff here. I guess it's not grammatically incorrect or smutty enough (Which is hilarious since I have an extremely risque Sam Winchester Lemon on here, but I digress).

10. Any advice for your possible new followers?

Write for you. If you write to be noticed on here, you won't get it. Write for you.

Emi is a really good friend of mine, like my best friend outside Wattpad. When she was allowing me to read the book outside the public's eye when she was first writing it, I already knew I was going to like it. She's a wonderful writer with amazing skill points when it comes down to little details, her characters are always fantastically created with key flaws and strengths that make the characters seem very real and 3D, and all her books are so beautifully drawn out it's hard to stop reading once you start. She perfectly mixes humor and sadness from her characters, which is a rare and hard thing to do. Although this book hasn't reached the sadness peak just yet, I know from experience it's going to be one heck of a feels ride from here on out.

Emilovesmusic's eye to capture fine details is unique in her writing. She makes it seem like a real episode of Rick and Morty, and I like that. It's original to her. She even adds the theme music in the media so you can watch/listen to it after her openings, and I really, really, enjoyed that! It's not something you see here on Wattpad.  Like it starts with an unrelevant opening with comedy, and puts a little insert on where to watch the opening, I made inhuman happy noises. You, as the reader since this is an x reader book, get to be this awesome science teacher who blows everyone away with her knowledge and down right attitude that she's the boss and can manage anything and everything on her own. I even loved the footnote on how mechanical engineering can qualify you as a theoretical physicist if you take an extra step. Honestly, I learned something from this, which is not only cool, but the way she writes makes it like your learning in a really fun class with occasional swearing and sass.

What can I say? I love comedy, and this book has it! The first sentence of her summary had me HOOKED, and I'm so ready to read more.  I love Rick, and EmiLovesMusic captures his personality spot on. When he says "Wouldn't that be great Morty? A-A brand new pair of kick-ass robotic legs." I couldn't stop laughing. I read it all in his voice. Her comedy is golden, and I want more of it! Her style of writing is phenomenal, and I can compliment a writer who is obviously better than me. Sadly it hasn't been updated for a while,  and I really want the rest of the "episode" to continue soon.
