My father had called me and Joffrey to meet him in the main hall. When we got there, Lord Eddard, Robb and Sansa were already seated. Sansa sent blushing smiles over to Joffrey. "Right you're here, let's get started" my father spoke loudly in his usual raspy voice "Ned we have been friends for a long time, we fought in the rebellion together, and now we are at peace we should join our houses, so the peace can go on long after we are gone" Ned Stark nodded, I could remember Robb telling me my father planned to marry Sansa to Joffrey, but then why was I here or Robb?

"Joffrey shall marry Sansa, she will be next in line to be queen, when Joffrey comes to reign" Sansa smiled down at her lap, her excited smile filled her face again. "And Robb shall marry my daughter Myrcella, and they will become Lord and Lady of Winterfell after you are gone" I looked up at my father shocked, I had no idea he was planning this. I quickly glanced at Robb who didn't show any sign of surprise, he must of known. "Do you agree Ned?" "Yes your grace, they are perfect matches" "very well you can all go now, apart from Myrcella" I had already started walking but I turned back and waited for the room to empty so I could be alone with my father.

"You seem shocked at this news, I know you are still young, but you don't have to marry straight away, your mother is not keen on the idea though" that must of been what they were shouting about, 'giving me away to a northerner' well my mother didn't make it sound pleasant "Ned Stark will become hand of the king, so he will travel down to Kinglanding with his two daughters Sansa and Arya" I nodded my head politely "you will stay here, until you come of age to marry Robb" "on my own?" My father looked surprised at my outburst. I looked back down at the floor. "You are in safe hands my child, the Starks are very honourable" my father dismissed me.

I couldn't believe it, we had left the Capital, Kingslanding for a visit to Winterfell and it seemed I would not be going back. The most worrying thing would be to stay in Winterfell with none of my family, I suppose I would feel outnumbered, especially that Sansa and Arya would be gone it wouldn't have any female company than my maids, and Lady Catelyn.

It was the last night that my father and mother would be staying in Winterfell, so another feast was organised. Even though my mother was cold, I would still miss her soft, soothing voice, no matter what she would always be my mother. I would miss Tommen the most... Who would comfort him when he couldn't sleep, who would soothe the words that Joffrey had scared him with? I wouldn't miss Joffrey and his cruel games, I would be glad to be away from him. But I was scared, I was going to be left all alone in the North, with a family I hardly knew.

Joffrey sat with Sansa and they talked all night, they seemed happy with each other, but I knew sooner or later Joffrey would turn viscous, he always did. It was sad really that my brother was consumed by this power to inflict pain and torment, there was something deep down inside him that could never be changed. Robb hadn't spoken to me all night, since my father announced we were betrothed, he didn't even look at me.

My mother called me over to her and she took me to another room, I could still hear the faint music that echoed down the hall "I'm going to miss you... I can't believe that your being taken from me, my only daughter" her voice changed to a cold, bitter voice "given to the North, you should be marrying someone more worthy" I stayed silent, she often revealed everything she thought eventually, she couldn't keep it up inside of her, she would bottle it up until she couldn't anymore and then she would explode. "I will probably not see you for a long time, you do realise this don't you" I stayed quiet but I nodded my head "here, take this..." She handed me a gold locket, initials were carved into the back 'M.L' "always remember me by it, you have always been a lion and you will always be a lion, even though you are being given to the wolves."
