I smiled as the traitor's blood ran down his face and into his eyes. His dirty face was streaked with tears, and a cut on his forehead and eyebrow was beginning to get infected. I put my hand under his chin and lifted it.

"Are you ready to talk yet?" I said. My voice was calm. It would put anyone on edge. His body shook as he sobbed again, which only made my smile grow wider.

"Yes," he whispered. I let his head drop.

"Good. Now, who killed my family?" His body shook again.

"I did," He whispered. I grabbed his face roughly, my smile now gone.

"Say that where I can hear you," I said. My voice was threatening now. I was losing my composure.

"I killed your family!" He screamed. My hand tightened around his jaw as a wide smile came to my face. I pulled my hand into a fist, breaking his jaw. He let out a scream as blood ran out of his mouth, pooling into the floor.

His screams were like music. I pulled the fire in my veins into my right hand and punched him in the stomach multiple times, never missing my mark. With my luck, he would be dead before I'd had my fun. I frowned and crossed my arms. He was hanging limp, blood pooled around him in the floor. Had I already killed him?

I let the fire go and checked his pulse. He was alive, but unconscious. I stepped on his leg, and a loud snap rang through the air. He awoke with a scream. I kneeled down, grinning. "Don't pass out on me ever again." He whimpered pitifully.

I laughed. It was no wonder I was the ruler of my kingdom. I'm ruthless and in power. They can't stop me from ruling this place. No one can.

I pinned him against the wall and put my foot on his head. "I'm glad we had this talk," I said as I crushed his skull.

I stared at the dead body. What had I done? This wasn't me.

Oh, but it is you, the voices whispered. This is the real you. Everyone else tried to make you forget it, but you always knew there was a side of you that wanted blood to be spilled.

I shook my head.

"No," I said. "That's not me."

You're a monster, though, they argued. You're supposed to act this way...

I shook my head once more.

"No, I'm not. There are monsters out there that are kind and care for people. I don't have to kill to do what I want." The voices whispered to each other. Their whispers became louder and louder. I fell to the ground, putting my hands over my ears and screaming. "I DON'T WANT THIS!" I screamed before my entire world went dark.

I woke up in my bedchambers. One of the servants must have came down and taken me back up to bed. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, sliding out of bed. I was in clean clothes, and my armor was sitting on the edge of my bed.

Is something important happening today? I thought as I pulled it on. The servants don't lay my armor on the bed unless there's something important or a peasant is coming to see me...

My boots' metal clinked together as I walked down the hallway. It was quiet; almost too quiet. I pushed the doors open and entered the throne room, sitting down on the throne and putting my legs over one side of its arms.

"Two royal scientist from the underground have come to visit you, your majesty," one of my servants said. I nodded, and he brought three skeletons inside.

"I thought you said there were only two!" I snapped at the servant. He looked at me and bowed.

"I am sorry, Queen Liv," he said.

"Get out of my sight," I said while pinching my nose. "What do you want?" I asked the skeletons. My voice was colder than I'd meant for it to be, but that was for the best I suppose.

One of the skeletons began using sign language, but the shorter skeleton patted his shoulder. "We ask for shelter, and in return we will be your scientist." I raised my eyebrow.

"And the boy," I ask. The taller skeleton has a baby skeleton in one of his arms.

"He will serve in the royal guard," The short skeleton says. I nod.

"Todomaru!" I yell. A short servant runs in. Her hair is jet black and her eyes are a startling steely grey. "Show the skeletons to their quarters." I say, standing up. My tail drags on the floor behind me as I start back to my chambers.

"Y-your majesty!" One of the skeletons
