The meaning of love

Chapter 9

"Well, Love needs to be fight for. You have to fight for your love."

"I..I know. I wish I can but I guess with getting this amnesia thing helps me, I mean, before, I guess my life was worst before. Like I love and marry a girl who didn't love me back. I'm sure I was broken heart. I don't want to be hearbroken twice."

"Lex, don't always think about the negative ones. Well, it's true that you have to think the negative ones but you also have to think about the positive ones."

"But what if the positive ones don't come true. The worst possibilities won't break my heart. The positive possibilities will or won't break my heart. So I would rather choose the worst ones."

"Let's just ask Lucia. What will happen if she loves you?"

"Well, I would be happy I guess but what if her love was only because she pity or feel sorry for me?"

"Lucia is not that type of girl. She won't do that to you."

"But she tricked me when we got married."

"I don't think she wants to trick you. Not like she tricked you but it's more like a force. She have to. She's stuck and she don't have a choice."

"Yeah but I just, I just don't understand. This is marriage we're talking about, how can she just, she just marry someone who she doesn't love?"

"She did that because she loves her mom Lex. She didn't care about herself you see, she don't think about herself and she just thinks about others. About her mom."

"Yeah. I know. But didn't she think about me? Like I mean, she knows that I love her"

"That's the past Lex, people make mistakes but they learned something from their mistakes and I think Lucia too learned something. She knows you love her so much and I think she starts to love you."

"I don't know. I-"

"Sorry to interupt you Mr.Alex but you can go home today. Let me just make a few test and you are ready to go" A nurse said and checked Alex

"How is he?"

"Everything is fine doc."

"Okay Mr. Alex, you can go home now. You have to do the administration later. I'm sorry if I interrupt you. You can continue."

"Thank you doc." Alex smiled

The doctor and the nurse then went out and left Alex and Shawn alone.

"You can go home."

"Yeah but I..I don't know Shawn. I mean. Like I will obviously live in the same house with Lucia and, and it's, I don't know. Like I will obviously sleep in the same room and on the same bed."

"Alex, she's your wife. You can't just sleep anywhere. You've been sleeping with her since your marriage."

"I don't know. I can't remember. Ouch!" Alex said as a sudden flashback appear.

"Lex. You have to sleep on the bed."

"No Lucy. Just sleep on the bed"

"Uh..but you are sick. Or...uh..uh we can share the bed."

"Oh..o..okay!" Alex said nervously

"Uh no. We started to sleep together I don't know. It's like I'm sick and I don't know. I got a weird flashback."

"Okay but since then you both sleep together. So you should too now."

"I'll try."

"You have to Lex, it's not like you have other choices. She's your wife. So treat her like your wife."

"I know and I will. I hope."

"Look, Lex. Lucia is really a nice girl, she loves you and I hope you'll love her too like you used to. You have to. I don't want to see her broken again. She cried a lot when you're unconcious amd she really wants your memories back. She loves you Lex. As her bestfriend, I want the best for her. I really don't want to see her crying again."

"I..I don't want to see her crying too. I..I don't know. I somehow got a feeling or something that, that her tears are....precious."

"Of course they are. I really don't like to see a women crying."

"Yeah. Is she done with her operation?"

"I don't know. Probably she's done. It has been 2 hours since she start the operation but it's a big operation so I'm not really sure."

"Yeah. I will do the administration first. Where is my bag? Shawn? Did you see my bag anywhere or did Lucia tell you about it of something?"

"I don't know where your bag is. I don't think your bag is here though considering your accident. I'll ask Lucia if she's done with her operation. Let me go to the front desk."

"Okay. I guess I'll see you later. Thank you Shawn."

"Your welcome" Shawn said and left.

Shawn went to the front desk and asked the nurse if Lucia is done with her operation.

"The operation was finished about a minute ago. I believe you can see Doctor Lucia now. She's going to be in her room, Doctor Shawn."

"Oh okay. Thank you." Shawn said and went to Lucia's room

A few moments later Lucia went inside her room and She was shock because Shawn was sitting on the chair.

"Oh gosh Shawn. You scared me. What are you doing here?"

"Can't I see my bestfriend?"

"Of course but why? Is Alex okay?"

"Yeah. Of course. He's fine. He also got two flashbacks. That's an improvement. He can also get out of the hospital today."

"Oh great. I have no more operation. I can do the administration now."

"Yeah. Oh and about that, Alex asked about his bag."

"It's not here. You know what happened. The accident thing"

"Yeah. Oh. Yeah. How's the operation?"

"Great. It was successful. The patient is in the coma period though but the operation went great."

"Yeah. You can get Alex. Oh and the wheelchair is also there in his room."

"Okay. You're not comming?"

"I am. Oh wow. My brain is messed up. Let's go. I have another session after this though but I'm good for now."
