Chapter Ten

Emma's pov

I woke up immediately I heard Amber's scream. Our bond is very strong being my guardian and my bestfriend. I rose up only to be held back by an arm. I looked at whose arm it was and found it was Damien's. He was beautiful even in his sleep. I wanted to admire and touch his face more but I remembered Amber's scream. I needed to make sure she was fine. I slowly slipped through his hold and ran to Amber's room following her scent. I kicked the door Open and saw Kyle trying to wake her up. My eyes turned red in anger
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?"
my voice held so much venom and authority that he had to bow down. Edan and Lillian rush into the room that minute
" oh shit" said Edan
I checked her neck and saw a Mark but it was swollen but Amber was marked yesterday and she looked fine unless
" you re-marked her without her permission? Are you mad? " I said so angrily that the walls shook and that's when Damien and the alpha and Luna came.
" you are not fit to be her mate, how dare you hurt her I should break your bond and give her to someone more affectionate "
" Amber won't like it, Emma so calm down. Breathe in and out and try to subdue your anger OK. Let's check on Amber and see if she's OK Huh? " said Edan
" but he hurt her, eddy. He hurt our pack. You felt her scream and it's because of him" I said as I went for his throat
"Damien please calm her down " Edan said trying to hold me down
Damien came and kissed me and I felt a million sparks run through me. I sighed but it came out as a moan and held him tighter. When we released each other my eyes had gone back to its original color and my body felt weak. Damien saw I was going to fall and supported me with his body.
" Amber... "
" she is fine. See she is waking up " said Damien patting my hair gently
I turned and saw her waking up and I felt relieved but I realized that everyone saw what happened so that means I have to tell them the truth.

Damien's pov

I really don't know what to do about Emma. Seeing how she is protective of her brother and Amber makes me want to find out everything. I mean her voice held so much power that made even the walls tremble. I looked towards her and saw her talking to Amber checking to make sure she was fine. She was going to make a fine Luna. I just need to show it to her. I turned towards Kyle. From his explanation I kinda understand why he did that because I have been in conflict of doing the same to Emma. He felt so bad that he almost started crying but held back. I patted him on his back and looked up to seeing Amber walk towards him being supported by Emma.
" KY, please look at me? "
Kyle kept his face down. Amber knelt and lifted his face towards her.
" I am fine, see? I can't bear to see you like this. It breaks my heart that I caused it. I wanted you to wait till we go home before you re-marked me. So please look at me? " Amber said begging with tears streaming down her face. I held Emma close because she started to cry. She really hates seeing people in pain. Kyle finally looked at Amber and I saw he was also crying
" am so sorry, please forgive me "
" shush. It's ok"
And they kissed. I looked to everyone and nodded towards to door and we all left to give them some privacy. Seeing them happy made me wish mine was like that and I realized that I have not apologized for earlier with Emma.
" we have to be ready in 30mins for dinner and Alpha Derek, please prepare the criminals for the trial and persecution OK?. We will convene at the hall and ensure all right of us are on one table. Dismissed? "
They bowed and left. I went to our room with Emma and sat down,she refused to look at me so u lifted her chin up. Her blue eyes held so much emotion and innocence that I could look at all day.
" Emma, am so sorry for yesterday. I don't know what came over me but I was hurt when you said what you said. I only wish you would consider our relationship before you decide to end it. Please give it a try. Give us a try and I promise you that you will not regret it" I looked at her and her eyes were in conflict. For a minute I thought she will say no but then she nodded
" really? "
"yes. I will follow you home"
I kissed her thoroughly to the fullest of my heart. When we stopped, we were panting so much, I finally saw her smile and made a promise to myself to always make her smile like this. I kissed her forehead and said
"thank you "
