Danny and Wendy ran outside, laughing with complete glee and joy. The snow was falling heavily and even though it was 11:27am, it was dark and foggy. They threw snowballs at each other and tackled each other in the cold, white, fluffy snow. They were having the time of their lives. As they ran past the windows which The Colorado Lounge gave view, they fell to the ground and tackled, laughing with glee. If they had looked through some of the mist of the window, they would of seen Jack staring at them, with an evil look on his face. He looked positively possessed. His face was completely set and still. His chin and upper lip was stubbly and his eyes were red and bloodshot, like he was high on drugs. Except he wasn't high. Oh no. Behind him, unseen for any eyes except Danny's if he had been inside, stood dozens of ghosts, watching Jack and watching outside the window. The Colorado Lounge was full of ghosts. They were standing around, walking and sitting. And down the grand staircase walked the bald headed ghost. He wore his suit and looked rather sinister. He was visible to all eyes and if Wendy had seen this, she would of screamed at the sight of him, for he looked just as possessed as Jack but had a very grim look and appearance to him. But Wendy didn't see him. Neither did Jack. And Danny was too busy having fun outside to care for what antics were happening in The Colorado Lounge. Jack looked at his wife and son and he looked up at the leaden sky and his grin widened just the tiniest bit. The ghosts faded away and a gust of wind brushed through The Colorado Lounge. But Jack didn't notice it. He was too busy in this world of his own. It was a rather mesmerizing feeling. Thoughts of murder flitted through his head and as Wendy and Danny walked in and Wendy went to cook lunch, he was calm and content. He didn't want to leave The Overlook. This was his sanctuary. And soon his family would grow to love it. Oh yes, they would indeed. "Just wait and see, Wendy and Danny," grinned Jack and laughed in the loud empty room, his laugh echoing around. "Just you wait and see Wendy and Danny."
