Why do I always get into these kinds of situations? Why can't I have normal people problems-well I do but not as much as I used to and when I do I can't even appreciate it as much as probably you can. Heck, I barely have time for my family.

Because even though I "work" -more like 'voluntary' help whenever I can- which is anytime I'm off work and on vacation or "sick". They call me because I'm great at defence.

I'm a mage. In a way, it's similar to witches and wizards but there are some differences. Mages unlike witches, are born in a human family and slowly through their life, my life, you realize you are different, you feel different and you experience and learn things differently.

Which in the "real" world takes quite a toll on a kid, especially when you're a teenager. I had friends but I didn't, I couldn't, trust them enough to share my secrets with.

Since I, as a mage, mostly rely on the energy and beings around me I had quite a journey. Sometimes when was young if I saw or touched a thing that was important to someone's future I could see flashes of the event. And If I was a part of the event when it happened to that person I always thought it was a mere case of Deja vu. But when more weird and unexplained things started to happen I started to do research on it. During my journey of discovery, I met a lot of beings and creatures that are a part of my life.

And three years ago my responsibility expanded when the Council of elder put me under their care to teach me control and to help me descry my abilities.

And ever since then I have been travelling all around the world, but travelling beyond Earth, is a first for me.

"Each and every one of you were chosen by your Council to represent your planet." She continued. "It has come to our attention that In the last couple of decades an organization has been reborn. And it has been slowly growing. They have been creating allies through the universe and it has become a problem." As she was talking, she was also showing us the names and faces of the members of the organization. " We have come to know that their name is Cronus and these are the members leading each section of the organization that we know about. Your job is to report to us any new findings about them and the Cronus organization to us. We will keep you up to date as well. Understood!?" She asked us.

"Understood!" Everyone said in sync.

"Excellent!" she happily said. It's like all the stearnes and seriousness left her. " You have all been assigned a room in case you'll have to stay here for a couple of days or more. If you would follow the guide that has been assigned to you after they call out your name."

Damn, it was a bit creepy how she can go from being serious to a happy go lucky person.

They showed us to our rooms. Sophies and Suzie's room were right across from mine.

"Great more work for us. Now I won't have time for my snuggle bunny." Sophie said while pouting. She was talking about her husband, Lucas, who is a wizard. "Oh you'll live," her sister said while rolling her eyes. One day her eyeball will just roll back and never return.

I kind of sympathize with her. Even though she is happy for her sister she still envies her relationship with Logan. It has been only them for a very long time and now everything has changed. It would've probably been easier if she could find someone like that.

It would be great if I did but that's not likely gonna happen soon -or at all.

"Well, see y'all soon.I'm gonna go and try to get some sleep," I said sleepily while going inside my room. They waved back.

The room wasn't very large but It looked awesome. The wall in front of me where the bed was located was painted black. There was a closet with clothes on my right and on the left was a bookshelf with loads of books and a door for the bathroom. Beside the closet was a black desk with a laptop on it, a lamp and a bracelet.

The bed had a white quilt and a dark blue almost black fluffy, soft and warm blanket.

I went to wash my feet, 'cause it's not like I was walking barefoot this whole time and just went to bed. What a day, or should I say night.
