Having fucked up thesis groupmates is the worst thing that has ever happened in Mark Lee's life.

You see, he happens to be the luckiest person on this planet to have Wong Yukhei, Park Jisung, and Zhong Chenle as thesis groupmates. What makes him even luckier is that their paper is due next month, and they haven't written until 50% of the paper yet.

Mark never fails to remind his groupmates to do their tasks-- he even messages them personally-- but to no avail. Not a single reply was sent, let alone a seen (✔) mark.

So here he is, sipping his 3rd bottle of instant coffee in the middle of the afternoon. Students are supposed to take a break and rest during weekends, but it's the total opposite for him.

The word rest and Mark Lee? Totally not a good choice.

Annoyed, Mark decided to check on his groupmates and see what they're up to. His mind just won't shut up with the fact that he's giving them a free long ass ride by doing all the work that has to be done. He tapped on Yukhei's Instagram Story and realized that the three are together with their friends... playing at the arcade.

"As expected of these assholes," he scoffed then rolled his eyes. "What should I expect? That they ditched doing their tasks because of acceptable reasons?"

Mark chuckled bitterly. He has no choice but to finish everything.

As soon as he emptied his 3rd coffee, he checked the fridge for more, welcomed by nothing but vegetables and water bottles.

"I have to buy more, then," he sighed as he left and went to the nearby convenience store.

After buying two bottles of instant coffee and five packets of ramen, he brought out his phone and kpop diary. Despite being grade conscious, Mark still manages to allot time for stanning k-idols. Cliché as it seems, Mark continued on writing all his thoughts on his diary. Truth be told, he really aspires to be a successful musician and composer someday, and if that ever happens, then he'd gladly look back and scan the pages of that diary.

He checked stan twitter for updates, then watched Stray Kids' debut stage. He couldn't help it but smile and have his eyes glimmer in adoration and respect; he's just so proud of them.

"Someday, I'm going to be like them. I'll write my own songs, too," he smiled to himself and started writing his thoughts.

It may look like some simple notebook, decorated with washi tapes and calligraphy pens, but to him, it's an outlet-- another gate to his other side, a gate towards his dreams.

Mark stayed there for thirty minutes. Realizing that he has requirements to finish, he hurried and went home,

leaving his most valuable possession---

leaving his kpop diary.

Meanwhile, Lee Donghyuck was on his way home from the arcade. His stomach grumbled crazily, so he decided to grab cup noodles from the nearby convenience store. He sat on the farthest corner by the window and munched on his little meal.

He raised an eyebrow when he saw the black notebook, all by itself on the table. Curious, Donghyuck checked the notebook for its contents when a small photocard fell out.

"BTS? EXO?" he held the photograph and placed it back, checking for important details about the owner.

And there, written at the last page of the notebook, was the owner's name.

"M-MARK LEE?"
